Today, I got an email asking me to renew my .club domains as the renewal price is increasing, but what I found interesting is that renewal price has increased because of cost increase from Neustar, owner of the .club domain ending, as per the email I received from the Registrar:

"Effective July 01, 2019, standard .CLUB renewal pricing will increase to $11.99. This is the result of a cost increase from Neustar, which owns the .CLUB domain ending. You can manually renew before July 01 to take advantage of current pricing (including multi-year renewals)."

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Why would that mean its sold?

Just sounds like they think they can make more money.

There are 1,XXX TLDs...
But just few large tech backends/operators for them: Verisign, Afilias, Donuts, Neustar, CentralNic...
And they increase their prices continiously...

For example, recently (after 15 year partnership with Afilias) Indian registry (.in) has moved to Neustar.
Reason: Neustar is cheaper.

Hi all, just to clarify, as some have noted above, Neustar is our backend service provider. .CLUB Domains, LLC is the owner of .CLUB and has been from the beginning. That hasn't changed. And also as noted above, several months ago we announced a modest wholesale price increase, over a three year period, starting July 1. Happy to answer any other questions or concerns. Thanks!
- Jeff Sass, CMO, .CLUB Domains.
