DropCatch got beat....

I backordered NameSports.com at DropCatch. Today I received their failure to catch message. This happens sometimes. So. As usual. I look up the whois, expecting to see SnapNames/NameJet capture the domain. WTF. It got captured by GODADDY. Yep you read that correctly. First time I've seen them beat DropCatch to a dropping domain. Shocking. Impressions welcome

First of all, NameSports.com as a domain doesn't make much sense to me, in terms of commercial value or applications.May be it could work as a brand for a service that has to do with printing sport jerseys/tees etc.
Secondly there might be a good chance they're allocating/prioritizing their resources towards catching domains that they believe will garner more attention/action(bids).

Yep. I have noticed that somewhat. But never really picked up on it

Yep. But they've been working on their internal backend. I don't think that includes their dropcatching. Which appears to have 0 priority.
