The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Not been adding many domains recently but did a few the last couple of weeks:

Interactive Poker (.com)
Hologram Assistant (.com)
Holographic Sport (.com)
Haptic Company (.com)

Got an AR domain which I should sell by beginning of next week, currently in escrow. Only mid $xxx sale but only paid low $xx two months ago.

I guess it's official DNJ slutvr.com 2k

In looking at the sales list, it seemed I was missing something. And really I wasn't. It was a more traditional looking sales report.
Remember for years before, CHiPs were the play.... where are they now ?
And TLD's always have their boo-ha-ha on release, that is almost where they end for choice words and still to investors, not many end-users.

The best surprise is no surprise, so they say.

And for those of you in the doom and gloom of a lack of sales in your names, remember it was not but 6 years ago the talk of Facebook and social media eating into the need for names.
Well, if that is true, then the trend is now against the larger social media platforms. Could that be good for names ?
Something to think on. There could be a identity crisis for many, but will generic TLD's fill that need cheaply ? Perhaps, but effectively ?? anyone's guess.
The landscape is always shifting.

Could you explain that name a bit in the way of the model of who would want/need it.

It's funny, as some of you know I've been dropping literally hundreds of names, especially holo (not because I have lost faith in holo particularly, but because I had way too many), and one of the names I dropped recently was holosluts.com A couple of weeks ago I was really annoyed because I got an e-mail telling me my backorder bid for holosluts.com had been successful. Obviously, I'd forgotten to cancel my backorder when I won the name originally. Now I don't feel quite so bad, haha.

Congratulations on the sales. Are you promoting the names on social media? Outbounding?

Mobile VR’s dying gasps mean new life for standalone and tethered VR
https://venturebeat.com/2019/05/10/...mean-new-life-for-standalone-and-tethered-vr/

It's a interesting view but I have figured it is only a phase until more powerful chips are in the phones and, after all, those stand alone's use a smartphone CPU/GPU and in the future, I still see a HMD that plugs into your phone. Probably when 5G is prevails. Using both a built-in cpu/gpu and the those in the phone so you get pre-processing in the phone and that which is in the HMD for a very good powerful low latency performance in a device that you can carry and be a stand alone. This cuts the overall costs of owning performance and be stand-alone. Perhaps within 3 years. But I figure Apple will be the first using this.

outbounding thanks :)

What does outbounding mean? Actively contacting prospective buyers? I have quite a few similar quality names that I don't really want to renew but I'd gladly shift for much less than $2k.

I got another the other day - VirtualRealityTeens(.)com I've dropped about 250 names already this year and registered 2 or 3 new ones.

Well less than a week before the Oculus Quest goes on sale. I find it hard to get excited about the thought that the latest 'game changer' will finally bring VR to the masses, as we've had it so many times before already (GearVR, PlaystationVR, Windows MR, Oculus Go...). But hopefully this might really be something that does slowly get the ball rolling..
