I finished a quick domain asset evaluation a few minutes ago that showed some interesting results.

If you own any single word .com domains or thinking about investing into any, some of the evaluation might prove to be helpful with your own research. Take a look at some of the foot notes and takeaway.
Asset Type:
Single-Dictionary-Word / Psychological-Influence
Note: Looks like a pretty cut an dry definition without any wiggle room on variants. That shrinks the pool of potential end-users unless you get creative with it.
Note: Not much to look at and it doesn't really help at all. Had to look. It gives an idea.
Note: Not much to go by and very old sales data. Gives an idea.
Note: There's more sales data to look at in this combination, most of it is old though. Yours is more comparable to ************.com, but that was 2017.
Opinion:
If you do a Google image search for "********* Logo" you find even more people/businesses using the word in their branding that might benefit from a shorter or category killer version. Each of these results is a potential hobbyist or end-user.

Unfortunately, none of the larger reports are comparable to yours. Keep in mind, brands need to leave a positive impression on the consumer. Most times, start-ups go for positive words to evoke positive psychological influence. On the flip side of that coin, they avoid negative words. Your word, has negative impact, creating doubt, which is not what a brand wants to achieve. However, it could be spun in a way or in a niche industry where the affect is transparent in the type of market it caters to.

The hard part is identifying the potential end-user, gathering more research on their specific niche, formulating a presentation, negotiating, and closing.

Your asset does have reseller liquidity, but you will still have to do a lot of leg-work to find the right buyer and apply the hard parts I also mentioned above, which in most cases, investors fail at.

I hope that helps clarify a bit more.
