There indeed was a mess like this once the co registry rolled out this premium domains mess, a few months ago. Then all .co submissions on GD would return. But now they accept .co again, except premium ones.

DNjournal reported ecommerce.co SOLD at 11.000 USD

Ten .co tld domain names sold above $1,000 last month per NameBio. Still looks like pronounceable, short, one word domain names are favored. Anyone with insight on this please chime in domain specific or .co in general:

smart.co $52,820
ecommerce.co $16,855
ride.co $12,000
pen.co $8,524
reshape.co $7,500
lina.co $4,980
bou.co $4,980
ieo.co $2,000
forall.co $1,885
horizons.co $1,497

Could it be domainers are asking too much versus what small businesses and startups are currently willing to pay, sellers are ahead of the market pricing $10,000 and up?

Just throwing that out there. I didn't look at the data to support the idea.

No, they do not accept .Co premium.
My .Co were recently rejected and when I asked them why they said because they have been premium.

No, they do not accept .Co premium...

Sedo has reported the highest share of .CO sales above $1,000 last 12 months. List there if you haven't already.

I have Smart/Fabric listed via Afternic which of course shows up at GD and other partner registrars as well. However, I can't tell if unlike GD, Afternic allows listing .co premiums.

200+ LLL.co have dropped over last 180 days alone... all have been picked up by the .CO registry and are priced between $650 and $1300

@Nikul Sanghvi (and anyone else) can you please summarize what you've learned so far in regards to 'Premium' pricing by the .CO Registry?

Here it looks like you have seen a range of $650 - $1,300 for LLL.co. NameBio filtered by 'Past Year' and 'LLL' for .co shows that to reasonably match the lower end of actual sales. CBD.co tops the list at $50,000 6/2018 followed by INQ.co, HOD.co, and AHC.co, above and below $10,000 each.

Anyone seen the .CO Registry pricing above $1,300 for LLL?

How about short one word pronounceable domains, maybe 4 to 6 characters in length for example (feed, share, moving, etc). These are what we see selling on NameBio above $1,000 the most. Registry pricing those under $1,300 also?

Much appreciated.

I DID see pricing higher then .1300 for LLL.CO's and certainly for some domains.
Don't know where. I'll have to look for it. Not much time at the moment to do so (something wrong on my PC with searchfunction.

ANDYHOW : Lots has been said that only 1 words-co's are interesting.
That's not true.
See here at namebio (but fill more letters enterred then in your search on Namebio 2-20 letters for instance and not 2-6).

Apologies John, I'm not sure I understand what you're asking here...

I haven't really seen any changes on end user pricing since the premium tiers came into effect.... strong one word .CO still continue to sell.
And LLL.co still sell for anything between $100 and $10k... there is no price floor created by the registry, as they don't buy from domainers to create liquidity in the market.

I just think of the registry like another domainer. If I think they've greatly undervalued a domain, I'll buy it from them to resell. Otherwise, I can't really extract value from their pricing strategy as I don't know what is working for them (unless I could see their sales data!)

Ok let me try again. Registry premium pricing only. Not us domainers. Is the registry asking for a lot or a little. When someone notices it's the registry holding the premium, are they asking for $600 or $6,000 on average, guestimate, category you like, any insight. Thanks.
