I got this email today but it seems a bit late as the contest ended 6 days ago.
We have a bunch of idiots running our not-for-profit extension? Pretty sad state of affairs
Shouldn't the members of the not-for-profit organization see the books?

The CIRA is on a real roll of late and I'm really wondering if anyone is even alive over there - maybe the entire operation is being run by a low-end AI program found in a WWII bunker?

If so, that would answer a lot of questions.

I read all the mess tbr is in here. Never participate in the drop, but they having some issues
Definitely headed the wrong direction. They should answer to us, were feeding them.
Still in domain manager at rebel, we can see when the stupidity really kicked into high gear.
Maybe they are all stoned over there?

I deal with a Canadian company that made the mistake of using only the .com for a product. I launched a competing product under the .ca and have been poaching his sales for a number of years.

Good news is I just bought the company.... looks like my .ca was outperforming his .com by about a 3-1 ratio.

Lesson here....

When in Canada.... do like a Canadian and use the .ca (y)

When in Canada.... do like a Canadian and use the .ca (y)

I totally agree, as not only do you get the automatic .CA type-ins, you also get a nice bump on Google when Canadians search on the term.

I ran into a great example this Christmas when I was shopping for gifts - some wanted autographed pics from Frozen Pond (a Canadian company), so I automatically typed in frozenpond.ca but it didn't resolve. So I looked it up and it turns out they use the .COM... and the .CA is available for registration.

Why in the world they don't spend the $12 to register the .CA and at least forward it is totally beyond me. Personally, I would set up two separate front pages for the .CA and .COM so I get the search benefits of both.

Our .CA To Be Released / TBR Weekly Picks for April 24 have been posted:

The overall .CA numbers are similar to the past few recaps, but the quality of TBR domain names has dropped noticeably compared to last week, even after you take into consideration the Registrar snafu that resulted in yet another TBR cancellation + double-week run. Even so, there is a bit of cream at the very top and our Top Picks include...

Our .CA TBR Results & Leftovers for April 24 are now online:

This week’s .CA TBR list contained just under 10,000 names (the fifth week of over 9K), but the overall quality was not there compared to previous weeks, and the number of truly premium words, LLLs, brandables, and multi-words dropped noticeably. Some of the top selections this week included...
