I like .one extension a lot. plus I got a few offers on my .one domains lately so I am all warm fuzzy about it.

I decided to share some warmth by creating a showcase thread. it would be nice for me to hear your .one domains. who knows maybe we can even trade some.

here I go first:

  • 3-d.one
  • arcade.one
  • bookmark.one
  • copyright.one
  • dictionary.one
  • eternity.one
  • explorer.one
  • gambler.one
  • immortal.one
  • input.one
  • kinky.one
  • meta.one
  • metaverse.one
  • prototype.one
  • rep.one
  • satan.one
  • subject.one
  • terminal.one
  • torrent.one
  • virtualreality.one

and to get you more pumpted about .one, here is some great sales already, not by me:

I think .one is like other gtld, only popuplar key words have real market value....but I feel it have certain advantage which make me start to love it...

1. its price is good and reasonable.
2. it is short, this beat lots of other gtld, I always feel I like 3 letter extention other than 4 letter or some crazy more...
3. it is easy, simple.pronouceable word, not like xyz or ooo,
4. it is a quite generic word, not like .study, .design, .domains, .vet have a specific meaning thus only functional well in that niche.
5. itself is kind of peace.lowprofile name, not like .top .fun, which give me an unprofessional feeling...
6. it is still very low profile in the markete thus still have lots useful name there...

I am not really suggest to invest(hard to judge the future development), but I think it is quite useful extention as a reasonable alternative for .com in some situation, specially for who want build some personal or small prj but obviosly can not afford to buy a LLL.com :xf.wink:

I completely agree with that. I think this extension it's a sleeping giant which in a few years will surprise us.

well thats a first for me..

after I countered his 1k with round 5k...
3 days ago.. I get an email from a sedo broker askng me if I want him to handle this transaction..

I don't deal too much with sedo... but had offers and sales before.. this never happened before.

let's hope its a good sign and he makes a sale for me! he said in his email its the same 15% fee.. broker or not.

I guess maybe he just realized this is one of their better clients with good past buying history etc.. so he asked if he can try to make it work.

not sure what happened with the broker taking over negotiation of arcade..one
but instead of hearing from him, buyer kept making offers.. which I countered.
and we eventually settled on 3k... he did mention its his final offer.. and I prefered not to test that statement.

2.4k net after fees is not as much as I expected for one of my fave .one names remaining in my folio now.

but... its still roi and profit.. and I can reinvest it elsewhere! it'd probably fetch more in future..imo.. but it could have been a few years wait!

happy .one domaining everyone.

@alcy woot! on the sale, and thanks for bringing us on the journey.

Yes that 20% fee gets ya, every time. I totally get your sentiments on yielding a higher net. Tough call, with a prize name and not many runners in the race.

thanks.

I guess we should all keep in mind that this is still .one and not .com .. as much as we like our .one domains hehhee

so when all is said and done, and all our fave names and preferences put aside, perhaps 2-3k for any .one name is still a pretty darn good deal... I know easier said than done, but I'll try to keep that in mind for future sales and offers! :)

I agree 2.4k is good profit! helps renew some stuff... and reinvest elsehwere maybe..
I had solid interest in this name and maybe 10 or so offers before.. but it never went past say $500... still think it could fetch more in future... but like or all names... that could take many years! or it can take many years to wait and renew only to find out no better offer comes! :)

who knows the future!

in meantime, I regged arcades(.one) 2 mins ago.. to fill the void (jk)... I guess nobody liked that one.... ;)

plurals are imo generally real bad for .one (just an opinion).. but there are some exceptions... I mean some words are just more common in plural than singular.. say... wings.. socks... etc... maybe arcades fits that class too ;)

well I hope to see more offers and sales from other .one holders here soon!

we already had some nice ones here. and probably a bunch unreported too.

I told ya wait 3 years before even considering to sell .one it has become my fave extension behind .com & .org and yeah in some cases is probably better. I am definitely into .one and glad to see others having a good time with it too. :xf.grin: Even the 'Nay Sayers' have been starting to grab them, for them though it will be more difficult than it was for the early birds. You know who you are O_o.

@NameZest I agree, sometimes .one is better than .com :) Number.one vs Number.com ;)

I think I sold my first .one names too cheap. My bad though. :xf.rolleyes: :dead:

Check it out Cloudflare is promoting their 1.1.1.1 with a .one!!

https://one.one.one.one
That is pretty neat. Someone wearing their creative hats!
I wonder how they managed to secure the url? one.one.one.one is a sub domain of a sub domain (one.one.one) which in turn has to work off of one.one, but which is still owned by one.com. So perhaps they've leased it..
Creative but I prefer https://1.1.1.1/ :xf.grin:
Whoa ok wait a sec, what is going on here! There is no even TLD that is .1

*and 1.1 resolves to 1.0.0.1

some sort of fancy url shortener at work? which would explain one.one.one.one as well

Yes and it is impossible to see a numeric TLD in the future :)

Just running an ip address mask? Add a vpn after download...

yes...one.one.one.one is sub.sub.domain, 1.1.1.1 is ip address(y)

They said domain is make ip readable and easy to remember, but obviously, 1.1.1.1 is super easy even it is ip address

aargh- right. Brainfart, forgot about raw ip addresses. A domain name needs an ip address to function, but an ip address does not necessarily need a domain name.

So Cloudflare has nailed down 1.1.1.1, AND has evidently somehow secured a sub-sub domain of one.one

*as an aside, they also offer domain registration now..but not .one's. How awesome would it be for them to promote .one registrations on their one.one.one.one!??
