Kaitlin Bennett‏ @KaitMarieox
I really don't care that government employees aren't getting their paychecks, and neither should you. Taxation is theft. Get a real job! #GovernmentShutdown

My point is not about Kaitlin Bennett, as such. (I never read her stuff) it is about the fact that someone...anyone, was kicked out of a PUBLIC town hall meeting because of their opinions. Whether it is Kaitlin, Rush Linbaugh, Alec Baldwin or even JB Lions, IT IS WRONG. And to be done by the staff of "Mr Socialist" Bernie Sanders was just icing on the fascist cake. Remember the definition of fascist: A fascist is a follower of a political philosophy characterized by authoritarian views and a strong central government — and no tolerance for opposing opinions

Pretty weak evidence that Bernie Sanders shuts out opposing views
He just did a town hall on Fox today, by the way

Got Trump turning people against the media constantly
Giving praise for violence against reporter

Crocodile tears flowing.

Nah, your name calling ebbs and flows, the behavior improves sometimes. You really behaved yourself over there and don’t know why you didn’t unleash your normal wrath. You really didn’t do your usual typical bashing, for some reason you acted differently than you do here. Just an observation. Carry on wayward son and continue the Trump bashing and Anti Conservative hate speech.

Yep, the GPS still tracks even when location is turned off, My wife was given an Alexa mini, we plugged it in, and the sh*t was crazy and way to off the hook for us, we immediatly unplugged it and put it back in the box.

Hope you sent it back for a refund!

Dennis Prager on Kavanaugh
This weakening of the female is perfectly illustrated by the statement released by Susanna Jones, head of Holton-Arms School, the private preparatory school for girls in Bethesda, Maryland, that the accuser attended. “As a school that empowers women to use their voices, we are proud of this alumna for using hers,” Jones said.

“Empowers women”? Please.

Nearly every woman over puberty has experienced a man trying to grope her (the groping of a pre-pubescent is sexual molestation of a child and an act of evil). My mother was groped by a physician. She told my father about it. My father told the physician that if he were to do it again, he would break his hands. And it remained a family folk tale. If you had told my mother she was a “survivor,” she would have wondered what you were talking about. The term was reserved for people who survived Nazi concentration camps, Japanese prisoner of war camps and cancer survivors, not women groped by a man.

When my wife was a waitress in her midteens, the manager of her restaurant grabbed her breasts and squeezed them on numerous occasions. She told him to buzz off, figured out how to avoid being in places where they were alone and continued going about her job. That’s empowerment.

In sum, I am not interested in whether Mrs. Ford, an anti-Trump activist, is telling the truth. Because even if true, what happened to her was clearly wrong, but it tells us nothing about Brett Kavanaugh since the age of 17. But for the record, I don’t believe her story.

https://www.dennisprager.com/the-charges-against-judge-kavanaugh-should-be-ignored/

That's empowerment!

Yeah, you just have to Google the nutters they use:

https://www.google.com/search?clien...Epstein+of+the+Center+for+Industrial+Progress

who's done programs with John Stossel - https://www.greenpeace.org/usa/glob...independent-thought-stossel-in-the-classroom/

somebody else paid off by fossil fuel companies.

Where Trump supporters get their science from. It would be like if this thread existed back in the day and those on the right would be posting opinions from Tobacco company scientists saying smoking isn't harmful to your health. This is where they're at nowadays.

If you’re going to throw around terms like “fascism” and “socialism” FFS and least get your definitions clear so you don’t minimize the term’s meaning.

Fascism is related to NATIONAL socialism (aka nazism, not garden variety socialism ), has elements in common with communism, and is by definition authoritarian and nationalist. Fascists are anti-worker, don’t support equality or the government “giving” anything to people.

Throwing one troll reporter out of your event may be obnoxious but it isn’t “fascist.” And it’s the event holder’s prerogative.

Calling ALL reporters “enemies of the people” and encouraging violence against them is fascist.

It as a pleasant surprise to hear Buttigieg comment to French journalists on the Notre Dame fire in French. You can tell it’s not his strongest language but it was a good and sincere effort. Yay, polyglots!

I don’t know if he's “seasoned “ enough for the top of the ticket, but I’d be fine with him as veep.

It sure would be nice to have someone in the Oval Office again with an IQ higher than a root vegetable...

I'm actually just pointing out reality, something you struggle to deal with as a fence sitter. You just supported a President trying to associate an elected official with terrorism, knowing it would bring even more threats.

You're a liar repeating a narrative that blames others for something a racist liberal has said, many times.

Is it you love Israel? When Mr. White Republican literally supports anti-Semite sites, White Nationalist/Nazi gatherings etc. You're trying to have it both ways.

That quote from that article, pretty much nailed you guys. Just a bunch of fearful types, scared of people who are different from you. Or what I posted before, a bunch of Christian instigators. You don't see Muslims coming in this thread getting at Christians, but you see it just about every day, the other way around. When you aren't posting about gays, immigrants, refugees etc.

Figure out what you actually believe it and then be consistent with it, even if it means going against one of your Trump online buddies, be less of a coward.

The ND fire, sad something historic like that up in flames. Got to see it back in the 90's when I visited Paris.

You just can't stop with the slander huh? You're a smart man with low morals willing to join any outrage mob that aligns with you're own bigoted beliefs.

This venn diagram is pretty much an outline of the democratic party. Democratic socialist on one side. Violent, intolerant antifa advocating harassment and punishment for people who disagree on the other.

Weak leadership in the middle, caving to the demands of the extremes, trying to destroy the republic with a propaganda campaign that the electoral college isn't democratic. Trying to limit the #1A and #2A protections.

Democrat leadership is trying to usher in mob rule, the antithesis of our founding principals.

Calling journalist who lie, #fakenews or enemy of the people isn't tyranny.

History always starts yesterday for liberals.

Donald Trump didn't make up the term fake news, the media did. Publish a fantastic, anon sourced story to a blog on Monday, repeated by Media Matters on Tue, a few days later it's the source for a story in the Wa Post or NY Times.

Do you really want to go down that road?

How about phone records, spying, etc calling journalists "flight risks" I'll copy and paste here @JB Lions
so you can pretend that you read it before responding again.

When it comes to being anti-media, Trump only talks a big game. And, boy, does he talk. Obama, on the other hand, is a man of action. As president, he did much more than complain about Fox News. His administration spent eight long years curbing the press freedoms of journalists of every stripe. Obama was a pro at this.

Trump’s war against the press is indeed ugly and often over-the-top. But let that criticism come from someone who’s not guilty of far worse.

In 2009, for example, the Obama White House intentionally excluded Fox News’ Chris Wallace from participating in a round of interviews pertaining to the president’s push for healthcare reform. Later that same year, the administration officials tried to block Fox reporters from interviewing “pay czar” Kenneth Feinberg. The White House initially lied about this, and many in the press went along with it. It wasn’t until 2011 that the public learned the truth of the Feinberg episode. An internal email dated Oct. 22, 2009, showed the White House director of broadcast media told Treasury officials specifically, “We’d prefer if you skip Fox please.”

The bigger point is that Feinberg was not the only administration official to have his network appearances limited by the White House.

The Obama White House communications director, Anita Dunn, said at the time, “We’re going to treat them the way we would treat an opponent. As they are undertaking a war against Barack Obama and the White House, we don’t need to pretend that this is the way that legitimate news organizations behave.”

That language about "legitimate news organizations" and "opponents" is only different from the things Trump says by degree, not by kind.

In 2010, the Obama administration renewed the bogus Bush-era subpoena against the New York Times' James Risen in a prolonged attempt to determine whether the reporter was the recipient of leaked CIA information. In February 2011, federal investigators were revealed to have spied on Risen. Federal investigators pored over Risen's credit reports and his personal bank records. The feds even tracked his phone logs and movements.

Later, in 2012, Fox was mysteriously excluded from a White House conference call pertaining to the terrorist attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Fox was also excluded from an all-network CIA briefing regarding the attacks.

In 2013, the Obama Justice Department labeled then-Fox News reporter James Rosen a “criminal co-conspirator” under the Espionage Act of 1917. And all because the reporter used a State Department contractor as a source for a story. Rosen was also labeled a "flight risk."

The Justice Department seized the records of at least five phone lines connected to Fox News. The federal law enforcement agency even seized the phone records of Rosen’s parents. The FBI also got a warrant to search Rosen's emails from 2010.

In May 2013, the Associated Press revealed that the Justice Department had secretly collected two months' worth of personal and work-related phone calls made by AP reporters and editors.

Federal officials secretly obtained records on incoming and outgoing calls made by specific AP journalists, as well as general news staff, the news group reported, potentially compromising many sources totally unrelated to the investigation. Federal investigators even collected data on calls made by AP reporters in the House of Representatives press gallery.

Thank you for your reasoned and intellectual reply, even if I do have disagreements.

What you have there is not a definition of fascism, but a lesson of one's way of framing what how they want to have it known as. It is a great picture of what someone wants taught it is. It is no more a definition than a closing argument in a court of law is a definition of the law, but only how the lawyer want the law framed for his client.

Definition are definitions. Conversations about words and phrases are not definitions. Here the definition says nothing about the issues in your chart, even though statements of the 14 characteristics are espoused by both sides of USA political framers.

Definition was posted above so I will not repeat it.

Trump supporters not having a clue on who they support. Do you guys get upset when Trump removes people? I don't remember those posts.

I don't get get mad when people jump up, shout insults and are disruptive get thrown out. As usual, you're generalizing and comparing apples to bananas.

Throwing people out of a public event because they will ask questions that make you uncomfortable is cowardice.
