Type of contest: logo design

Prize: $50

Contest end date: April 16th, 2019 8pm PST (4-5 days)

Logo needed for imgies.com

The service is similar to that of flickr, imgur, photobucket, and other image hosting sites. And like the competition, the ideal logo should be simple, possibly abstract, in all lowercase, and somewhat playful but still taken seriously.

In addition, there should be an included icon
either referencing the logo itself (e.g. imgur's "i") or separate but complimentary in style (e.g. flickr's two colored dots). This icon will be used for favicon, avatars, and any future native application icons.

Here's a screenshot of the image library management screen to get a feel fo the design/colors (WIP).

Final image should be provided in vector .EPS format

Feel free to ask any questions.

Nice strong entry! Not 100% on the g and seems a bit too close to imgur's logo maybe? The arrow is a nice idea but maybe not too obvious of how it relates (which might not be a bad thing tho)?

Definitely being considered!

Definitely in the right direction! I'm just worried the icon might be too hard to get at first but then again, abstract and symbolic is good. So not exactly a con, just not fully sure of. But the style and exploration is on point and currently, this and charmink's designs are the top being considered! :)
Thanks for your entry! Not quite what we're looking for but appreciated still!
I like the general creativity but not exactly looking for too much focus on a stylized text. Thanks for your entry though!
I like the use of simplicity but this seems like it would conflict with Flickr and is a common shape (looks like a venn diagram). Thanks for your entry though!
Not exactly sure what the icon symbolizes or if it's meant to be abstract, but looks like a person in a business suit? Not quite the vibe we're going for but appreciate the entry!
I like where this is going! Maybe a way to make it a simple color pallete for the symbol (for grayscale, different backgrounds, and other conditions that it might be used).
