I can not stress upon the fact enough, that discipline in any business and in life, in general, is very very beneficial and fruitful indeed.

I think, if you are disciplined, whether it involves:

a) Learning the business daily by putting in the hours
b) Reading
c) Finding the right mentors and following up with them time and again
d) Reaching out to the right buyers if you are the outbound person
e) Having the patience in terms of inbound
f) Being ethical
g) Being proactive in experimentation

is a very very essential element and directly decides your journey in this niche industry.

Ask any established reputed domainer and they will tell you the importance of each of these.
We all saw how Adam Dicker's name was spoilt at the time, for being unethical, according to the posts and what people say.

So, discipline in all these aspects is a must to succeed in this business or any business per se.

What is your take on this thought?

Totally agree.

I think most fails especially in this business is due to lack of time giving in reading, learning and grasping knowledge. They simply think it's a short cut of making quick bucks and go on buying loads of crappy names and for wait for someone to buy in short period of time. Later such people blame this business as for not being profitable whereas it's not the case.

It's the lapses in discipline which kill me :)

Thanks for sharing this is a pretty good list and something I am going to print out and keep up in front of me as I put in the hours into the business. We are all at one point or another going to feel discouraged but it is when we feel this way that is most important to remember this is a business and a marathon so keep on going.

Correct. I agree. The first step is to learn. Then you can start to earn!

Try harder my friend! I may share a 30-day challenge sheet for you to keep track of things. What say?

Absolutely Will. In fact, I have learnt so much from your OmarAndWill videos that you guys did. I have a 30-day challenge sheet like I said, which I use as a hack for my everyday struggles to overcome them. Should I share one here?

Absolutely. Goes without saying! Nothing can replace that!

Here you go! Print it. And use it!
It is like dopamine. The one you get from Fb or Insta. Just follow it for 3-4 days. Then it goes on and on.

Let's just say you can add me to the ones who have experienced this because I'm experiencing it now and why i'm posting. I guess you can say it's words of caution

This should go without saying, but be "discipline" with your money while investing in names.Especially the one's just getting started in domain investing.

I know,I know, some will have the mindset of " it's my money and spend it how I want". Which you are absolutely correct, but while you are avoiding words of caution, you may want to just take pile of your hard earned cash and set a fire to it. Watch that pretty green burn because it's kind of the same. You'll never see that cash again.

It's so easy to get caught up in registering all kinds of names, being creative and having fun, it gets addictive. You may be thinking you have great names only to find out you'll be dropping most or renewing crap that will never sell and ends up being hard earned money wasted! All those low cost reg fee names and renewals start to add up quickly.

Don't chase the hype,do the research, set a budget, and stick to it!

Only mentioning this in hopes to prevent someone from making the same recent mistakes I have.It has been said before on this forum but trust me when I say, it really needs to be applied from the start.

Money I've wasted could have been better used to invest in quality names or something else worthwhile. But now it is the registrars that have that cash and I'll never see it again.

I can just hear all the experienced pros saying "I TOLD YOU SO!"
And yes, it could have been prevented if my head wasn't so thick and just listened to the advice. Lesson learned and moving on.

Just thought I'd share maybe get through to a thick head like myself:xf.grin:
