Got it from two members this am. Not enough coffee this am and the first got me. Once I realized, I changed my password two times - hopefully not going to be a problem.

I see a giant yellow message in PM's now.

Why not add the wwwnamepros.com to the filter and auto correct it so it can't be used?

I added the yellow box/warning, but I've done that as well ;)

Kudos to NP staff for being on top of this phishing attempt - hopefully not too many NP member accounts were compromised.

What is his name? Can anybody share? Afraid to click on the link :xf.smile:

there are two links on this thread and they are both not secure. Both of them are http not https!

So I don't really suggest anyone to click on them..

I clicked both for you and found banned accounts on both. This thread is almost a decade old, dont know how you guys found it and bumped it to top..!

This is an old thread.

Today, NamePros has wwwnamepros.com in its possession to thwart such attacks. ;)

There's some real gems in the namePros archives. Definitely worth a gander!

This particular thread however was bumped for multiple reasons: (to)

(a) Keep members aware of phishing attempts; as history has a tendency to repeat itself.

(b) Provide reference of possible past use and/or defensive domain registration reasoning behind domains such as 'www.WWWexampledomain.com'

(c) Bring forth into relevancy in the off chance @AlejandroGarcia was effected by this phishing attempt; seeing how he replied to this thread, acknowledged receipt of the attempt, and the pouring allegations connecting his account(s) to domain theft. Albeit this phishing attempt is not likely connected to the plethora of alleged shenanigans, no rock goes unturned.
