The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Your post for context:
"They hit a low of 9,678 in 2012, before slowly ticking back up to a total of 25,193 last year. But they’re still well below pre-fence levels, and the Border Patrol credits the fortified barrier dividing El Paso from Mexico for the reduction in illegal flows."

"Almost tripled last year compared to 2012. People eventually find a way."

Simple, more people from Central and South America where things have gotten worse, not better.

Why isn't the wall stopping them? Is it because people will find a way?

As far as drugs. One of you posted some Twitter stuff about some nurse being there at the end for somebody on heroin who died. Then followed up with, this would not have happened if there was a wall. BS. As long as there is an appetite for drugs in America, there will be drugs. Not going to build some wall and drugs will magically go away.

I think you would need to see these boarders in person to really understand.

I have crossed the boarder from Texas into Mexico from Larado Texas using just my Driver’s license, this being back in 1980’s and some on the 1990’s , today you have to have a passport.

Had I felt like crossing the rio grande river, I would have just walked around or climbed over the fence and entered. The fences and walls only run so far, actually not that far at all.

I have also crossed from SanDiego California into Tiajuana Mexico with nothing more than my driversi felt license back in the day.

Had I felt like getting wet, I just would have taken a very short swim in the ocean around the boarder fence and entered that away.

If anyone in this thread really desires the truth of the situation, Come down to Texas, I will be happy to meet you in Larado Tx, Brownsville Tx, McAllen,Tx , El Paso Tx and show the truth.

I stayed a week in Monterey Mexico with a friend of mines family, no passport.

I have been to Juarez, Monterey, Reynosa, Tiajuana Mexico

You're right. Until then, I'll take the word of the CBP agents and the President of the United States.

I think most people miss a major point. This isn't a continuous wall, it's traffic control.

You like polls... 80% of CBP agents think the wall is important.

Trump getting clowned on by the networks:

Trump says he β€˜never said’ Mexico would pay for the wall

Then posting up video and press releases talking about Mexico cutting a check

Yeah but, you are doing the opposite: crossing into Mexico, meaning that on 99.9999% of the time an American that crosses the border will return.

But the reality is the exact opposite!

which would be good, except. no physical beings will be there to monitor anything,

People have this perception that Border Patrol is continuously and vigorously patrolling the border.

You see border patrol in the inner cities of the towns I have spoken of, you see very very few chevy Tahoe border agent patrol vehicles monitoring the actual access to the border. even if they did, they couldn't even begin to catch up with all the people crossing the border, they catch up with them once they hit the inner cities, which is here and there.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that all form of law enforcement is not, and have not been enforcing the illegal immigration laws of the US, look at the numbers.

Even I crossed the border from San Diego to Tijuana in 1975, just two weeks after arriving in California. Went there with an American friend. They never even asked for my passport. All they did was wave us through at the border crossing, after my friend said we had gone to visit Tijuana for a few hours... which was true!

Which is why a physical barrier would make it sooooo much harder for them to cross over to the nearest border towns... it would be so much easier to monitor!

Busted. The mouthpiece, the protector and the millennial defender of workers rights was fined for not paying workers comp.

"The campaign for new Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who has made helping the working class and poor her top priority, was fined by the state for not carrying workers’ compensation coverage for a month last year."

β€œThe employer did not have the required workers’ compensation coverage from March 31, 2018, to April 30, 2018, and was issued a final penalty of $1,500, which was paid,” state Workers Compensation Board spokeswoman Melissa Stewart said. β€œThis coverage is vital to ensuring workers are protected for on-the-job injuries.”

"Her spokesman said she had nothing to add." lol.

People should learn English.

Nah, come on why? Why not print all the ballots, menus, road signs, ID registrations, Voting Cards, SS and Welfare Benefit instructions in spanish? Make it easier to get food stamps.
That's the democrat thing.

Surprised CA didn't put in a Immigrant crossing sign and stoplight on the freeway years ago when they put up this sign outside San Diego.

Β‘Cuidado! Β‘Migrantes adelante!

Yep, It was that easy, but times were much different than today of course. Mexico is a very beautiful country with countless soil resources throughout the country,

Wow. I knew there was something β€œoff” about that GoFundMe guy...

β€œa cache of internal emails and text messages from several of Kolfage’s former employees and acquaintances that show how he pushed to sensationalize and fabricate right-wing content on Facebook to amass clicks, manipulate users, and in the process, make hundreds of thousands of dollars a month in advertising revenue. In one text, he claimed to run a β€œmulti-million business.”

In addition to Lowery, three sources corroborated the documents and their experience with Kolfage, but were afraid to go on the record, citing his past behavior of lashing out and threatening legal action against those who have spoken against him.”

Then concocted fake stories to get the FBI and the husbands employer after them. Nice guy.
