How much for MiamiCarGlass.com?

We would comment if you had a decent domain, what you are asking us to comment on is sub par at best.

Let's analyse it for you....

CarGlass.com targets one specific industry and the target audience is very small. There are only a few manufacturers of car glass and chances of selling the domain to them are slim at best. Then add a regionalization to it and you have just cut your sales potential 1000 fold. So your target audience has to be in Miami and since the manufacturers for sure wont buy that you have to target small aftermarket shops that specialize in car glass replacement. In most cases even they cannot make a living and they end up selling all kinds of aftermarket truck accessories and things so it would be detrimental for them to use a domain that limits them to glass replacement.

So what's it worth?

I would not pay the renewal fee if you gave it to me.

So to be nice...

The silence is members trying not to insult your attempt to enter the domaining industry.

Take it as a blessing

Welcome aboard David (y)

If you want a better chance of people answering you should put the domain in the title ...

That being said .. I've never heard of windshields being referred to as "car glass" before. I know one company here that has "auto glass" in their name, but there are so many better alternatives that I really don't see it ever having any value as a geo unless the site actually has traffic.

I'm sorry to say that at the end of the day I wouldn't even have paid hand reg for this domain .. but you never know .. hopefully you get very lucky!

The name itself is pretty limiting. That said, a manufacturer might still buy it at the right (low) price if they have locations in Miami. If you're going into GEO, especially cities, you generally want to make sure you're registering them with a market that is competitive. That's really the only way the domain will provide continuing value to a buyer.

CarGlass.co.uk sold for $2,370, but the UK is much larger than Miami and the domain itself is shorter and snappier. CarGlass.us I'm sure would snag a similar price, but putting Miami in the name makes it longer and more of a mouthful.

I'd let it expire if you haven't sold it before renewal time comes around, but list it for mid to high $xx and cross your fingers.

Reg fee @ 1&1
To long and narrow. Length matters

Most people that post appraisals give up because:

1) too many awful domains not worth responding to.
2) too many people posting lists of domains to be appraised.
3) people get upset or defensive if they dont like the appraisal.
4) once people see that you do appraisals, they start hounding you via PM or DM for private appraisals.

I wont get defensive. That's how you learn how to choose good domains.

Since I got some of you here... honest opinion on:

SellAndroidApps.com
CrackedScreenFix.com?

Throw your best punch at me.

Android is a Google trademark when it comes to apps .. so it's a risky domain most wouldn't touch unfortunately.

My instinct tells me crackedscreenfix is just too awkward to ever be marketable. However .. it also has the "search term" feel to it like there's a chance people might actually type that in to google. It definitely is a long shot, but if there is stats, it could a little value for lead generation. Although probably not and I personally wouldn't even had paid handreg for it I'm sorry to say.

After checking Estibot it shows a nice $3.30 CPC .. but only 28 exact monthly searches .. well below what you'd need to consider this domain having any real lead generation value. The domain isn't as horrible as most would think .. but it still isn't "good" if you know what I mean.

Best of luck to you with all of them! :)

Android is used everywhere and I have not heard of google going after anyone. I recently aquired AndroidOne(dot)ca and I am not worried about google.

I think @David Torreggiani 's second set of domains is much better and there is a real chance he can sell them.

If you're using Android as a generic term (or anything not related to the Android operating system / computing) as one certainly could with AndroidOne, then you are totally safe. Otherwise to commercialise a site telling people how to sell Android Apps is definitely trademark infringement. I'm not 100% how aggressive Goggle is with their marks, but seems I've heard of them taking action in the past. But that's the thing with trademarks .. more often than not you'll be fine even if you are infringing ... the problems start once you get big and the trademark holder notices you.

AndroidAuthority and thousands of similar websites, even google9to5 and google seems to be letting them go. Android is open so I don't think they are pursuing it to a great degree. I would not chance a google domain but have no hesitation on android domains.

The term used in the field is "auto glass". I have sold a few domains in the field.
I have never heard "car glass" used.

MiamiAutoGlass.com would be a decent domain with some end user potential.
MiamiCarGlass.com is not a good domain.
