Heads up folks!

.Realestate is available for pre-registration :xf.wink:

I will be waiting for general availability for lower renewal costs if there are still good names left after pre-registration.

Who else is planing to reg. some cool names with this extension?

Good luck! (y)

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I'm predicting a HUGE bleed off from Keyword(s).RealEstate to Keyword(s)RealEstate.com.

(assuming that the gltd even takes off...)

Would you prefer NewYorkRealEstate.com or NewYork.RealEstate ?

If you can get something like usa / realestate for standard renewal then of course get it!

You can then solve issues like eventual "HUGE blead" to .com later ..just imo :)

I would expect geo areas will be priced at huge premiums based on populations, and tourist attractions. This is for industry professionals who can sustain the high annual renewals, not speculators.

You can go back to 2013 and see all the people who have been slaughtered with these wicked dreams coming true, the dot still presents a hurdle in a long ending right of the dot.

Let's see how much they will be on general availability. I don't think these will be taken on pre-registration since the high costs

$6500 on GD pre-registration
Ridiculous! :xf.frown:
It showed $6500 when I added it to my cart it went down to $5500, I guess that is a bargain.

They might be taken in pre registration as many times non informed users think it is a one time fee, not an every year fee which is insane for an extension with no track record.

Blockchain.Realestate is available for $12,995 per year.

I would go with NewYorkRealEstate.com because most people will still automatically add ".com" once they start typing in the domain. Especially at the prices and renewals that "dot RealEstate" go for.

Well after checking the renewals I would go for dot com as well.:xf.smile:

I sold .loans, .haus, .immo, .help for total about 10k. But I didn't make a profit on such sales, because I bought and dropped many newgtlds. I liked .care. but noonee else .care'd and all dropped, but some of them turned into professional sites by new owners. If I didn't drop .life's I would make some small profit. Rules of the game change in newgtlds. So you can start playing it again later.

I like .realestate best than most of the other tlds.

beverlyHills.realestate is not good as BeverlyHillsRealEstate.com but it's good. Better then most.

I will look into this one like I look into all other ”new” gTLDs:

- If a keyword + TLD is taken in many extensions, the domain might catch my interest, if:

A) The price / renewal fee is reasonable
B) The name is not an obvious trademark

If the real estate industry will go bananas over this extension? I really doubt it. Just look at the list that Kate added above...

Well, as many of us already know, in new gTLDs it is sometimes better to wait a year or 2 after GA, and pick up what was dropped.

Some people will pay few thousands dollars in EAPs for a name, just to drop a name a year later..it happens much more frequently then people think :)

It doesn't matter if it drops, the premium sticks still, even with $3K to $6k premiums for the decent stuff annually, it is an end user direct product.

Well, we will see. There are usually always some opportunities, although I have not checked .realestate in detail yet, so I do not know about this one.

And you forgot also .ESTATE, which I think is a serious competition for .REALESTATE :)

btw, what do you think guys sounds better? LosAngeles.Estate, or LosAngeles.RealEstate? Or is it more less the same to you?
