discuss 10x Your Money In Domains Or Crypto Currency?

A lot of domain investors also invest in crypto currency it seems as of late. I usually feel pretty confident that a domain I carefully acquire today will be a 10x+ my investment including holding time. If say, I were to buy bitcoin today, is it feasible that i would get 10x my money?

they must be going through some stress now.

as are thojse who bought btc at say 10k+

many of those people were taking out loans I'm sure

not everyone is rich or smart enough to be just playing with money they can afford to lose.

all in all.. there are abotu 478357854 opinions on net what iwll happen next to btc.. which only proves one thing.. that no one knows what will happen to btc.

It's like AMZN which people are panic selling such as this morning people were dumping at 1420. I BOT a bunch of shares for an AMZN trade @ 1428.

Long term, all this is just a blip. Just as AMZN will be over 2000 again, so will BTC be over 20K again.

There has to be a reason to purchase, before it was being fueled by endless ICO launches which needed a purchase thru a base coin. Crypto still has all the properties to make the world a better place in terms of giving more to people who have less, but the people with more are in no hurry to usher in this new era. It will be a slow build out, I wouldn't play to much in the trading, most likely it goes lower before it goes higher.

Crypto makes a lot of wild claims that everyone should stop to think about.

Like:

When you see btc at 19k, your reaction was: "OMGAD IZ SO TRU!"
When you experience 4.3k bear market, your reaction is: "...I can't believe I actually belieb'd dat :D"

Crypto will make the world a better place......

Consider the facts that crypto exists by wasting resources. Literally wasting electricity and computer hardware (expensive) mining AGAINST each other. In essence, it's like if you made 10+ trucks race down a highway with precious load. And the ONE truck that gets to the finish line first delivers its load... the other trucks dump their load into a black hole. NOT GOOD FOR THE ENVIRONMENT.

But there's truth that crypto can help in places where financial institutions are unfairly governing countries... like Venezuela. Bitcoin can provide a "safe" banking system that's so easily and quickly accessible. Oops but they don't have internet in most 3rd world countries... Nuuuuuuuuuuu!

All in all, I think crypto is a great and valuable (and even a necessity) alternative to banks and centralized money. It should exist. It's good to give the world that option... but in the long run, without clean and sustainable energy backing crypto up... it's actually so very harmful for the world.

The thing that a lot of people - apparently you included - do not understand, is that if you are going to buy something, the time to buy is either on its way up, or when its elasticity is high. The worst mistake you may ever make is setting arbitrarily low prices far below the current price, saying that "this is when I'll buy." If/when the commodity (stock, cryptocurrency, whatever) gets that low, by then it would be more likely to go lower, than higher.

This is part of why so many stock traders lose money. Rather, than, say, paying a higher price for a volatile stock earlier in the day when people are still scooping it up on the dips (high elasticity), they enter some very low price, below the low for the day, that - if it hits, may hit only after buyers have lost faith in the stock and it may be more likely to push even lower than necessarily pop higher.

It seems counter-intuitive to pay higher than lower, but WHEN you buy is more important than at what price.

This is really not something that may be taught. It comes with years of experience. Try to teach someone this, and still - he will refuse, will keep trying to put orders to buy at arbitrary levels, where he "thinks" the commodity should drop to in order to be worth buying.

overall.. it didn't help that there were a lot of crypto scams.. and there wil be in future too for sure.. in the end.. we may end up with a couple working solid cryptos.. of which btc may or may not be one... and 90% of what we see today in terms of different cryptos will be just completely gone.. when.. if .. which ones... no one knows.

at least in domains.. we all know .com will rule them all... for as long as domains exist

now, in 2018, when it comes to crypto, even my cleaning lady speculates on them, my taxi driver is asking me about them ...generally this is a phase when you should already be selling, mostly
