opinion Is Rick Schwartz or Mike Mann the REAL Domain King?

If you follow Mike Mann on social media, you may have been surprised to learn that he has officially declared himself the Domain King of the industry. This is a title held/registered by Rick Schwartz. Mr. Mann even went so far as to call out Schwartz' TM on the term Domain King proclaiming the title always belonged to himself. IMO, Mike Mann is the Domain King of the short hold. Whereas, Rick Schwartz is the king of the long hold...

what about div the indian guy who start domaining made millions then develop media.net and sell for billion not million
what about thunayan who owned a portfolio worth 20billion+
No king in domaining ,,, and the funniest go to rick who call himself the domain king ,, i think he should wait the industry to call him king and not himself

I might appear cynical, but for me the best domainer is the one who is making the best net profit. Domaining might be an ”art form”, but most of all it’s a business.

So I would say that, at least for me, the domain king is the guy with the best net profit from they started, until now.

And as we will probably never know who has the best long-term net profit, it’s not easy to appoint a ”king”.

I voted for Rick Schwartz, you cannot argue with his success and the amount of people who read his musings.

That said Mike Mann has a special place and maybe we can call him Mr President
