Hi everyone!

I’m from Melbourne and just last week I started looking into creating and selling domain names, and I found it "therapeutic" I already registered 10 domains.

Since I need to keep the domain with godaddy for 60 days, I am looking for ways to monetize where possible... and recently researching about domain name parking.

I will keep on reading and familiarising myself with domain name selling via this community.

Thank you for the vast knowledge everyone has imparted in this forum. :)

Hello @Honimansi .. and welcome to NamePros! :)

Unfortunately parking revenue is pretty sparse these days. More importantly in order to get parking revenue you'll need traffic coming to your domains .. something extremely difficult to do short term unless you're not just lucky, but more importantly, willing to invest a lot of time and energy into content creation.

I really would suggest you take your time to learn more about the industry.

Without knowing your names, I certainly can't say they don't have value .. but I can say that over 99% of hand registrations by new domainers are essentially worthless. Your first move should likely be posting in the appraisal section to see what other domainers think of your domains just to be sure you're on the right track.

Best of luck to you going forward! :)

Welcome @Honimansi. Best advice from another new domaines: Take it slow, read and learn. Don't buy too much starting out.

Welcome @Honimansi

For monetizing domains, check out the integrated domain name marketplace at Epik where you can sell and lease domains. The how-to is here:

https://www.epik.com/support/knowledgebase/selling-and-leasing-domains-on-epik/

The main benefit of this approach is that you can have high asking prices, or list domains as make offer. If your prospect is not willing to buy for your price, then you let them lease.

My recommended pricing guide for leasing is to offer a monthly lease at 1% of your purchase price, e.g. a $1000 domains is a $10/month lease.

If you create an account at Epik.com and want to sell external domains, we have to approve your account for this feature. Just PM me your email address after you create your account and we'll upgrade you.

Thank you for your insight.

I am reading more about domain parking and how to proceed with it. Ultimately, I am hoping to sell the domains I have already registered (total investment of A$128.00). I have registered most of them prior to getting into this forum haha. So definitely, I'll stop registering new ones for now and focus on monetising them somehow.

I posted on the free appraisal section for one of my domains and yet to obtain a response. :)

I didn't know domains may be offered for lease. I'll look into this. :)
