There are a lot of confusion going around with regard to 4 letter dot com prices, some say the prices are going down, some say the prices are artificially brought down by some vested elements, and most believe that the prices are not that much affected but a lot of them firmly believe that the price will be stabilized soon.

In this regard, let us share our day to day Sales of 4 letter dot com names here in this thread. This will definitely give us some real and authentic situation prevailing the market.

Today I sold two names:
DXRA.COM for $ 225 at Ebay
MVJV.COM for $ 299 at Afternic

the speculation and confusion of others, is irrelevant -
to those who hold the coveted domains in that category.

and...since all 4 letter .com are not equal in so many respects,
then to speculate on pricing, for this category in general, would be just as futile.

one also has to consider other factors that affect pricing, such as :

who owns the domain
their knowledge of applicable uses for it, current or future
how much they paid for it
how long they've had it
if it gets traffic, earns revenue
their + or - cash flow. etc, etc

when or if, you ever add that to the equation, it shows how there can be huge disparities between each individual seller.
and, since you can't generalize that, then the outcome of each 4 letter.com sale, can't be generalized as just a sale, either.

That is the challenge of selling them in various places. I have several very good 4 and 5 letter domains and was offered more and it depends upon the possibilities. I agree with EAKS as that can also be pronounced.

Just because a domain name is four letters, doesn't mean a thing. It has to make sense! Some 4Ls just keep bouncing from domainer to domainer and will never be developed into a website. My 4 cents.

Not quite long, I've sold 4-L.net and NNNL.com domains for mid and low $XXXX :

So you have to take a lot of factors into consideration. A lot!

Right / I have four letter dot coms I wouldn’t sell under $15,000. Others I’d let go at $3000. I don’t have any garbage ones that I’d sell at a few hundred.

For example geso.com (not mine) sold couple days ago at namejet, which implies wholesale, for $5100. I have a similar but superior one.

Bakt.com (not mine) just sold yesterday for $10,000. at Sedo.

I have dozens of four letter dot coms and a few three letters - I’m holding all no hurry to sell.

Any four letters floor price went down to 100

This is a liquid market and these are today's resale prices whether you like or not

I can agree with that

it was the same thing when I first bought some 3 letter.com

many of them were caught up in the domainer recycle-cycle for quite some time
as more people came in the game, for them too, the 3L.com was a trophy to behold, and to be holding.

but the important part is.... the prices kept rising over time, for the whole category!

so, for the long term investor, over time , tells the story

the purpose, as restated, sounds contradicting and from a thought process that still seems confused.

you say, you're not talking about premium 4 letter.com, yet you still want people to share details when they sell ANY 4 letter.com.
