hmm... I don't own many ngtlds.. minus some .one.. so thought I'd ask for your view on this one..

I bought this on np 2 years ago.. < $10

did 2 renewals.. around 30$ each..

would you let it go for $500 minus gd auctions $100 fee... ? or wait around for more offers? I kinda like it and feel it has good sound and potential to it in future. this is essentially the most expensive ngtld renewal name I own.

he's not really going up so this price looks his best.

thanks!

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
I would sell. "Now capital" is not a common phrase like "Quick cash", and NowCapital is only taken in 3 extensions (.com/.net - and not in any country code other than .in). I doubt any other company will brand themselves with this name in the future (when the .com is already used), and your future renewals will only reduce your potential profit.

I had a brief google look at potential end users, there are several of them who would benefit from your name...some of then can easily pay 5k plus, and they will not even notice. I would definitely not sell for 500.

If he can not pay more then 500, it will be probably just another domainer....wait for your ideal end user. I personally would simply reject this offer for name. One can not make larger sales if one can not reject small 500 - 1k offers. Imo this one is 5k-8k range name, not 500 name.

Northwest is NW, not NOW. What I mean is, I have never seen "Now" as an abbreviation for northwest.

I agree and also doubt a fellow domainer would pay $500 for this domain? Quite simple, if you think some extra cash for renewals is handy take it, if not hang on in the knowledge this may be the only offer for next two years? No right or wrong, just personal choice.

You must have seen something in it, to renewal twice already. You thought of it, so it's your baby. If it's your most expensive renewal, I think its worth holding, and would not sell this one for $500. You could get twice that. Maybe way more. It's a strong name, and as others have pointed, can be used as an acronym. And the best is the name itself. Now Capital looks like something I could get used to clicking. As you said, good potential.

Many things have potential, yet they never see fruition. It may take a while for a good name to make someone's ear twitch. So this name, priced $10k+ and you could have a few more years for the right buyer. But it also says your serious about the name. Your first offer will likely be your only (as our fellow NPer Kate is known to preach). At $2-5K expectations it would appeal to a wider range of buyers, where you would counter the lower offers up to or past the thousand dollar threshold.

Good luck with this one, Alcy. It's a great name.

Huh? In the context of the rest of your statements, I don't understand why you say this.

Just meant in the context of targeting buyers in the 10k plus range, high offers are not a dime a dozen. When the offer comes, it may very well be the first and last person to do so, at least for many years. So patience is key when holding out at this range.

thanks for your opinions guys. appreciate it

the offer expires today and I decided to hang on to it.

and yes, as HotKey said it, I did see something in the name.. cause its the only > $30 renewal range ngtld I bother to keep for so long... it looks good.. sounds pretty good.. and as another member said.. NOW is a good "call to action word".

I already had a couple of $300-400 offers on it before.. but this one was highest.

part of the problem with accepting $500 on it is that aftr $100 gd fee and the renewals etc, I am down to $300 roi.. which is still good roi.. but at same time for a name I see good potential in, and it seems I am not the only one to do so, perhaps at $300 roi I should hang on to it for some more.. besides I just renewed it not long ago with 300 days left still.

Id put it on undeveloped or efty instead then if you did sell it you dont have to pay 20% commission

I think it is a good decision. Otherwise, the same can happen to you what happened to many new gTLD investors: they were lucky to register some very good domains, in addition to some worse domains, and really bad domains. As we all do . And then their were approached with all those low ball offers - and when one accept such offers, one will deplete their portfolio really quickly, as will sell all of the good names for 500-1k, and will be left with portfolio consisting only of worse names. Such approach does not lead to anything good imo.

last week, one of my domain sold on afternic, I check the domain price, and I thought the price $750, but maybe I lower the price to $350( I don't remember), if I am new in this industry probably, I will think regret because for not setting to high price such $1200 or maybe $12k, but after so many experiences, probably $350 are the fair price, maybe that's why that domain sold! :xf.grin:

moral lesson is, probably its my last offer and not to mention my domain almost expired! so, I don't mind with $350, its better than nothing!:xf.grin:

I am not saying, it could be your last offer! but as you can see most domainer in here will tell, capital.now, is the most reasonable, but for Now.Capital, you'll be lucky if namepros reseller pay $50:xf.grin:

another solution, use godaddy and use counter offer, try $1500, or maybe $2500, wait a few days, if he don't response, accept his offer! if he really like the domain or busy, often time, he can't wait for another day!
