This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

Do not post only, "great sale" or similar as this doesn't contribute to the thread. (Don't reply for the sole purpose of complimenting.)
  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
What you do for outbound.. ? any tool you use.. ? i heard for transferring domain, the domain must have age of 60 days

For the possibility of transferring domain name from one registrar to another, it really must pass at least 60 days from the day of registration.

But, for so-called ’push’ (sending a domain name according to the same registry), it is possible on the same day when the domain name is registered.

With the help of the Internet search engines (mostly Google) I'm looking for websites offering to sell goods (services) that are identical to that from the keyword in my domain. It is desirable to find them as much as possible.

Second phase is extracting email addresses from that websites. It is recommended to be addresses of the company's owner or someone in their management.

And lastly, I’m sending an offer for the sale of domain name (with or without a specific price) to each of the email addresses individually.

Sounds great, is there a specific tool you use to find emails because as of now hard to see the whios and also wedbsites usually display the info@.... or sales@....?

pojax.com

purchased for $24 from namepros auction

Sold $320
Venue: Namejet

Lmao.. I hand registered that last year and gave it away for free to a newcomer so he could get an idea of selling domains. He put it on auction on here and it only got $2. That same buyer then put it on auction where you paid $24. Then you sold it for $320.

And $320 and Namejet combination says the new owner is a reseller.

Yeah a reseller, he has put it on BB.I was thinking to put it on BB but i don't have the patience to wait for a sale so i flipped it on namejet. I prefer to do quick reseller flips than hold out for the end user buyers.

It is a funny old world isn't it. I couldn't get $20 for it on here or no bids on GD auctions. That is why I gave it away for free.

Try with Chrome add-ons: 'Hunter' and 'Email Extractor', for start.

I think you did well to sell it quickly for a nice ROI.

I'm surprised your buyer was willing to pay that much for a slim chance at a $1800 sale on BB (of which they would net about $1200 for themselves).

Thanks to @Keith DeBoer. I'd always wanted to own a BB accepted name since the sales price is high. @Keith DeBoer reached out to me and offered me the opportunity to acquire harloo.com when it drops two weeks later. I always checked to make sure I don't miss is and finally GoDaddy sent me a mail that the name was now available and I registered it for $6.89 on @namesilo in late April.

Didn't list it on BB cos' I wanted to build a small portfolio and list them all at once so it's just been in my account since then though I listed it on other market places while I play with the pricing as BB value was $995. I was doing my research for outbound on a name and got bored so I tried searching for this name and there I saw 2 companies using harloo+.king. I got their emails and sent them a mail which they read with no reply. Last week I did the same thing all to no success.
All along I listed it on afternic for $499 but since there was no response I changed all my domain prices to $199 (needed quick cash).... Less than 12 hours I turned on my data to see that my domain sold for $499 guess it hadn't resolved before the buyer clicked on BIN(my gain:xf.grin:)

harloo.com
Sales price:$499
Sales venue: Afternic
Purchase price: 6.89
Namesilo
Holding time: 2 months

Thanks @Keith DeBoer

Also sold
Sacramento.pro
Sales price: $50
Purchase price:$0.99
Sales venue: outbound paid via undeveloped
Holding time: 6 months

Congratulations, awesome flip! Curious to know what type of listing you used; $9, $59, $259 or did you just listed it for $1 with a BIN?

$9 listing but flippa added it to their editors list. If you have a good name listed with them, they might consider it free of charge but the commission is 20%

Finally I got an opportunity to add to this thread!!!

Domain: F/r/e/i/g/h/t/M/a/l/l/ (com).
BIN: $1000
Venue: Afternic
Bought at $XX (If I remember it right, mid)
Hold Period: 7 - 8 months

Thank GOD, I was really desperate.

I got back into domains last year and hand registered hundreds of domains and later realized I didn't know anything about domains. Domaining is addictive but I'm trying to learn and learn and learn. Hopefully you would see better sales from me later.

I've passed over a lot of "Freight" names thinking they made no sense. Can you please shed light on how you knew Fre///ight////Mall was valuable?

When I Google, I can't see any exact matches or anything that would let me know it was worth.

If you don't feel like sharing, sorry for asking :(
