Absurd communication tactics by Uniregistry

Buyer showed interest and asked for guidance in how to buy one of my domains on Monday. I even noticed that he indicated the bank where the money should be drawn from.

The broker at Uniregistry tried to contact him during the following 3 days and on Thursday I saw the broker sending this message to the buyer:

Note how, in just three days of the buyer not responding, he offers him an alternative domain (?!) ... like, seriously?

That's a heads up for anyone using Uniregistry for brokerage.

Five years ago on Godaddy if someone searched for Keyword1+Keyword2.com and that domain was unavailable they would suggest other premium aftermarket domains so if you held Keyword1+Keyword3.com your domain might sell via a related search. Now though all the alternative suggestions seem to be the dozens of new GOD options which one can register for less than your premium priced .Com. Do you think that hurts sales of aftermarket .coms?

It's a peculiar breed of brokers who use your lead to their advantage.

You should email the buyer clearly stating that the broker does not represent you and literally say that the broker is fired from brokering your name (in front of the buyer). Such a terrible broker should literally be fired. I'd be more than appalled by a broker representing any of my namein this manner!

While that's a sensible suggestion, I'm doing something equally good; for the past few hours I'm switching all my 'make offer' domains to Afternic. Despite their site being terrible as it is at least they know how to get the job done when it comes to selling a domain.

I have already expressed my displeasure at Uniregistry for the quality of brokerage I have observed. They do have some brokers that are decent but overall the experience (my experience) is negative.

While that's a sensible suggestion, I'm doing something equally good; for the past few hours I'm switching all my 'make offer' domains to Afternic. Despite their site being terrible as it is at least they know how to get the job done when it comes to selling a domain.

First I need to see if the buyer is serious in buying. Uni's negotiation panel is not very clear of what's happening, as in, did the buyer really sent his bank details? I see this:

...but I don't understand what does it mean.. did he sent the money or not? if they are waiting for the money to get cleared as it's been indicated here:

If I don't see any activity by the start of next week, I'll take control.

I said it before and I will say it again, please refrain from using the word 'broker' for these incompetent, wanna-be's and immature sales guys. They don't know the first thing about brokering domains and yet they are not only doing what they have no clue of, but also messing up deals for the sellers.

PS: This is the second time I am reading a thread like this and I don't remember seeing any response/explanation from Uniregistry.

Pretty much any! But more seriously, look at Undeveloped, Afternic, Sedo etc! Based on my own experience and what others have written on this forum, Uniregistry's brokers are terrible!

I take that says it all. and the sooner you draw conclusions and stop dealing with them the better off you will be longterm for your sales.
