Crazy or smart long-term move? Discussion on this topic would be great!
Yeah. It's a long hold niche if you can wait. I have some decent names In that niche acquired since 2016. What have bought? My latest acquisition in that niche is DriverlessInstitute.com
I've seen this trend drop down right here on NP. I think only the top terms "could" be worth something later on.
5 years is too far . Autonomous is part of 2018 trend. Most of the car manufacturers and AI startups have started testing their driverless cars. I recently rejected offer on DriverlessProject.com.. Not good offer thoughI plan on holding for quite some time. Self-driving cars will probably become more and more popular in 5-10 years. Grab them now and wait. Are you selling DriverlessInstitute.com now or waiting?
I own the following:
self-driving-cars.net
self-driving-cars.cc
self-drivingcars.cc
self-drivingcars.xyz
self-drivingcars.site
self-drivingcars.tech

DriverlessInstitute.com? With fair price I can sell. I have some more decent names
The set with double hyphen is a NO . others may beIt would be great if autonomous and self-driving domains became really valuable sooner rather than later. What is a fair price in your eyes? What do you think about my domains? I know they aren't .com's, but they are key words.
We are getting closerI had the same thought in 2014. I registered at the time: AutomatedSUVs.com, AutomatedCabs.com, AutomatedTaxis.com
Still holding. All the preferred terminology at the time was registered.
Stuff like: Autonomous | Self Driving (I am guessing)What do you consider "top" terms?
He is still holding for the futureThere was a guy on here that supposedly spent like $500k or something on these names. Where is he now and what are his domains being used for?
And the big players in the industry will always be want to acquire all generic keywords relating to their operations for protectionmore than likely, the auto manufacturers will use " brand + name" to describe individual self driving models.
so generic description/categories may best chance to have holding value.
imo...
