Very cool! Excited to see where this goes. Keep in mind it makes no sense for a company or developer (have 3 apps in top 200) to ever acquire the keyword app in our brands. .com made sense for almost everything up until .app came out.

Many think keywordapp.com and keyword.app is the same thing. Brands don’t want to associate more words within their brand name. However we struggled with finding a way to disassociate ourselves from the average website with .com

Any big app developer will tell you today that we would prefer brand.app over brand.com especially for marketing as it carved ourselves directly as an app to consumers with better intent to download and collect proper data.

I will perhaps write a nice article from my views of why this is very different from any other tlds and how it shouldn’t be categorized with every other hype wagon in the past.

Tens of millions of dollars are spent everyday promoting mobile and web apps. Consumers will be very aware in the coming months and years when seeing many brand.app advertisements all over social media.

Money follows attention. Google dominates and is pushing .APP, and CASHING IN! Good for them!
What am I talking about? Let's see...umm we can agree that Snapchat is one of the most popular apps on this PLANET. They own Snapchat.com, and Snap.com NOT CR.APP. I wouldn't be surprised if they completely ignore .APP.

Both domains went to snapchat LOL. On top of that? Facebook bought domains, apple, bank of america, tons of the top mobile companies bought .app even twitter bought twitter.app.. where is twitter.xyz :o right lol.

.app will be used majorly in advertisements NOT just by google but every app developer promoting their apps, as a developer half of the domains I bought will be used over .com in the apps I built as it will further conversions for installs to both platforms.

The Facebook, Twitter, BOA, Snapchat etc are dominators that are protecting their trademarks, has nothing to do with .APP as they register every new tld that comes out.

Where is it now?? 10k+ flushed down the drain as the name is parked!

Haha you seem quite adamant about this. Google "cash" already apps out there flourishing like cashapp, sitata,albert,veem and many more.

That dude bought .xyz at 0.01 from the get go, the price gave away the future of it haha.

The tone you have against .app seems to fueled from inner hatred and spite. A good future for .app is a good future for many more tld's in the future.

If you are so excited about .app why don't you drop $100,000 large and buy like 5000 .APP names?

There's speculation and analysis and then theres "cr.app" feud remarks that scream hatred vibes from you haha. I definitely respect your time and experience and value that more than you think. Though fresh blood from someone who'se mind isnt a "domain park and flip" and more of a marketer/creator/business owner I can see this being a huge win for developers and companies who build mobile products.

Im excited, and I did drop a five digit investment. I do not need to buy 5000 domains and squat others to prove a point. The idea is for endusers to actually make use and buy their own companies domains to flourish even more. The domains I bought are very generic and are .apps I intend to make big apps out of. I see this dominating as im already apart of the top 200 apps in the apple store in countries like USA/CANADA and the domains I bought will be a big help to us.

In my personal opinion, you are giving very bad advice to others...plus you mix all extensions together, .app, .xyz, .agency, etc...Because one guys made a pretty clumsy investment in .xyz and wrote about it, it does not make .xyz bad. There are guys on this forum which did extremely good with .xyz. Because a valuable .agency domain name is parked atm it does not make it a money waste. Etc.

When you say numbers do not lie, why not to bother a little, and study actual numbers from EAP days of .app? You can read about exact statistics for example here - after you digest the numbers, you will see that .app extenions is actually doing extremely well, and there are high chances of strong aftermarket in future years - of course, only for strong keywords, which goes well with .app

I definitely understand! No tld to date have I found a means of true purpose for outside .app it’s why I invested from $0 in any other tld to xxK investment in .app. It seems to be the next wave in my mind. cheers
