I'd suggest checking out more than just a couple of threads before jumping into buying. Take a look at a lot of reported sales and appraisal discussions. Take a look at a lot of the overall general and niche discussions. If you do a lot of walking/travelling then also download some of the podcasts like Domain Sherpa and DNW .. go back a year and listen to them all. There is a ton of info here and around to help you get your bearings!
