Hi buddies!

I did research few dictionary words. Didn't get any single .com domain name but some have .net and .org . I'm hesitant to register it. If I register it now and then want to resell it, Will I get any benefit from those domain name?

Please share your opinion.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
We all started like you

In beginning , you are hesitant to spend 10$ or less to register a name

Later on you will be hesitant yo renew tens of useless names

Then you will be hesitant to buy good name for 2000$

Then you suddenly sell a name for 10,000$

Then you will buy hundreds of names and be hesitant to use most of your income to renew them :)

Sure, some .net and .org are still good to get a profit. If you like the name just reg it and start promoting it to get a sale.

Keep reading don't spend any money all of a sudden you will know what a deal looks like. Look at domains sold by keyword forget what is trending advertised.

It's like asking how long is a piece of string.
There are plenty of dictionary keywords that have no practical purpose as domain names, even in .com.
So if these names are available, it must be for a reason.

What's your take on Zebrule.com?

I think ORg are much better than dot Net, because dot net, looks fake! :xf.grin: but for ORg, some geek out there, prefer ORg than the king itself!
but it doesn't mean I don't register .net!

.ORG seems to be selling much better than .NET and there have been many comments about the ".NET Depression" of late.

When buying words, one thing to remember is to try and stay away from most suffixes like "LY", "NESS", "IST", "ISM", etc. and stick with the main word root - I mean, would you rather own DIRECT.ORG or DIRECTORLY.com?

With regards to the dictionary names you found that are available to register in .net / .org

Check to see if the .com has any sales history on namebio and check sales history of domains containing those words across all TLD's.

Also check search volumes and CPC on those names...

If the domain has no sales history on other tld's, not much search volume and low cpc, if they are English words and the ccTLD's for English speaking countries are available then chances are it's not worth registering.
