This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

Please use the Like and Thank links on a post to indicate that you like it or are thankful for it being shared.

Do not post only, "great sale" or similar as this doesn't contribute to the thread. (Don't reply for the sole purpose of complimenting.)
  • Tip: Use the Like/Thanks feature instead.

Questions are allowed, but do not post commentary. If you want to discuss or comment on a sale in this thread, quote it and then post it in the following thread instead:

All reg fee and in king. Small sales, but they fund my other online pursuits :)
Since they're outbound sales, may I know what was the initial asking price for those domains? Hope those businesses didn't chop you up for more than 50%. For match word domains I thought they should have at least sold for more, just assuming since many domains like that sold for much higher prices in the past.

Some were sold for their initial asking prices whereas some were bargained down. PM me if you want to have a chat about it.

Domain Name: R/o/o/t/g/a/n/i/c[dot]com
Sale Venue: Efty lander
Sale Type: Make offer
Asking price: N/A
Sale Price: $795
Commission paid: None (Paypal fees only)
Purchase/holding cost: $20 (GD closeout)
Net profit: $775
Hold time: 3 months

Accepted the first inbound offer I got on my Efty landing page. Not generally considered good practice to do that, I know, but I'm still in a place where I want to keep pumping out sales if the ROI is good (rather than haggle for a few hundred more $$).

I like the name, but it's also a bit awkward sounding, so I felt the value probably wasn't much higher than that. I would have listed it for around $1,000 BIN.

Payment received. Transfer still in progress.

Commodore / .net
Sales price - $500
Venue - NameJet auction
Purchase price - $350
Purchase venue - godaddy auction

Bought a month ago because I loved the name (Cornelius Vanderbilt’s nickname). After some unsuccessful outbound attempts, I put it up for auction with a $500 reserve and it sold. My biggest .net risk to date, nice to get a good return from it

Didnt check if this name is a TM, but I can say you sold it too low. Commodore, Amiga, Atari etc. are big names today because they used to be something like forerunners of PCs and those still have a huge fun base, especially Commodore.

However, my comment is offtopic here so my apologies.
