What are your thoughts on .online domains?
It's very generic and not as ugly as .xyz for example, so that's a plus - but perhaps a little too long to have any success...
Plus most good names are either unavailable or premium...

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
It depends not on my country but on Chinese regulations...
The additional verification is required for certain TLDs...
In my domain table I see this requirement at least for .group and .top
But for my .world/.show etc. - they don't ask documents...

Yes, you are correct. It's not about country , but depends on Chinese regulations. Both .group and .top get approval in China, so there are more regulations about them.

Hi,everyone
As you see, there is no reg and transfer price for .online and some other extensions on west.xyz, because these extensions haven't get approved in China. So sorry to tell you west.xyz does not support to register and transfer in these extensions temporarily.

Thanks for the info. Any idea how long registration and transfer are expected to be temporarily blocked in these extensions ? Can we as domainers do anything to speed up the process ?

Was not probably the best name then which you were offered for free :) Best names with standard renewals were available mainly at the start of .online in 2015 - now it is little bit late imo, as many of the decent names are atm premiums with $500 - $2000/year rates attached.

I changed hosting. They said pick any domain you want, they didnt state anything about premiums, but probably like you state there was. Her offer went in one ear and out the other. If it was Com, net or Org, sure I would have accepted. I replied immediately without any hesitation, no thank you, no interest at all. In fact even if they offered me some 3 character like Luv.online, I would have said keep that too and donate it to charity. No interest not even if it was free.

Well, imo luv*online does not make sense, no matter it is 3 character or not, it is worthless, unless there is someone who can use those 3 letter as shortcut for otherwise long 3-word organisation or business name.

But If someone offers you pay*online or play*online, this kind of names, take it immediately. Not that it is going to happen any time soon, and for sure it is not going to be for free :xf.wink:

But still High search 14K, High competition and $9 Per Click..... with slow downtrend....

Thanks

I would probably sell it for the offered price. Reason is that there are many alternatives they can go for

submitfax*online, gofax*online, wefax*online, myfax*online, postfax*online, etc...so not much possibility to be very firm here regarding pricing, just imho.

Of course, if it would be 1 keyworder like, for example, fax*online, where it is difficult to find same quality alternative, I would counter with 15k-27k based on further research, no matter if tech is getting obsolete or not, as some companies can definitely utilize such domain extremely well still in 2017 and years to come :)

if your fax.online is in Chinese registrar,u can keep it, only $4.5(¥28) / year for renewal . if not, $1000 is ok, accept it.
