I suggest a new thread titled Problems, Bugs and Fixes at Afternic - Report Problems Here. Then we can all list our issues so Afternic have to fix them. These Afternic probs have been repeatedly flagged up across numerous threads on here over a period of time, including the need for 2FA. Godaddy own Afternic and have the resources and motivation to fix it - this risky mess is unacceptable and reflects badly on their brand.

For info, Afternic keep reverting some of my domains to "In Review" status for no reason, and I only know that if I log in there to check on them. Until I then ask support to take them out of Review they are not listed for sale and will not sell at Afternic.

@Joe Styler When can we expect Godaddy to take action on Afternic, including implementing 2FA?

Afternic seems to have reverted to having to prompt them to add your domain to Fast Transfer after BIN/Floor is set. Not happening by itself or quickly these days.

@Joe Styler - When you send us payments via PayPal, can you start including a note specifying the domains we are receiving payments for?

Payments are usually out of wack with estimated payment dates and payout notification emails. For example, I received payment for a domain seven days ago, but the domain is still listed as "payout scheduled" in my dashboard (and estimated payout date is late Nov). Other times payment arrives later than the estimated payout day. Also, I often receive payments for 2-3 domains at a time, in one lump sum, without any accompanying note about which domains I am being paid for. All this makes it difficult to keep track of the payments coming in, and it's inconvenient to monitor which payouts have been made and which ones are still pending.

There would be no confusion regarding this if you could simply include a note identifying which domains we are getting paid for with each PayPal payout.

Such info (paypal comments or anything similar with other payment methods) is incompatible with normal privacy rules. As it was noted in Sedo thread on this forum last week, there may be cases where nobody wants to see exact domain being included into pmt details, such as where the domain is adult or is not adult but may be considered as such, or where the domain name contains lets say 4 letters "C, U, B, A" as a sequence so the transaction may be instantly flagged or delayed by bots @ financial insitutions due to anti-Cuban sanctions even though it is just a domainsale and the domain or the transaction has nothing to do with this particular Caribbean country, etc.
I beleive there is no need to include domain names into payment descriptions.

P.S. For each cumulative payment sent out, afternic generates a serie of emails "We’'ve sent you payment for <domain name here>." The emails are from ta @ afternic. So it is possible to track payments with no issues at all, especially after whitelisting this sender with antispam filter

Hello Joe Styler

We're still seeing problems with Afternic parking (which is Smartname). Cameron hasn't been able tor resolve. Service team are still too slow as well. Is there anyone available to resolve issues within 48 hrs of raise? Currently Afternic resolution times are still in the region of 2-4 weeks.

It depends on what the issues is. Cameron is probably your best point of contact for resolving your Afternic issues.

@Joe Styler - Only 3 weeks left of 2017. Will we see this issue fixed before the end of the year? Would love to see the exact sales volume I've had at Afternic in 2017...

I have sold a domain via GoDaddy /Afternic. Nobody responds on my email.

I don't know why you would not get a response. They track each email that comes in. Did you email [email protected]?

Hello Joe, Can anything be done to unblock Smartname contact form in Russia and all the other countries it is blocked in? Kenneth from Afternic Service desk was unable to fix this problem at Afternic. I contacted Cameron as well, but no response. Your team have the screenshots and logs of this defect already, but you can send me your email address and I will forward you. We are missing out on a lot of sales leads because of this defect at Smartname.

No probably not. We block places based on security. If you have a specific IP you are using that is blocked incorrectly you can reach out to Kenneth. If it is a whole pool of IPs being blocked we are doing it for some legitimate security concern and they likely will not be unblocked.

We sell to Russian companies via email enquires, so it is a real shame that afternic is blocking this vital source of sales.

Is afternic blocking any other whole countries?

My domain sold at Afternic/Godaddy yesterday. The name is to expire 11/01/2018. The problem is I am unable to manually renew the name or push it from GD. It tells me an error occurred while trying to do either of these things. I can't transfer, or unlock the name too. It's however set on autorenew.

My questions

How long can a domain not be pushed to an Afternic agent before a sale is canceled?
Can you help me with a way to manually renew?
what other options do I have?

I don't know we change who we block based on current threats and actions. Things change consistently. Who is blocked today is not the same as who was blocked last week or next week. The only consistent blocks are ones we are required to do by law, say North Korea for instance. If you believe a specific IP is being blocked you can contact support to have them look into it.

If you mean 2017 then I would contact support asap and try and get it taken care of. If the name expired a couple months ago you are going to have some issues moving it and will likely have to renew it first if you still can. If you mean 2018 you should still contact support but it should not be a problem for moving the domain.

I'd like to restate this, @Joe Styler ... please ask the developers to make more options for the number of domains shown when viewing your own portfolio. I'd like more than 50. It's highly annoying to go through page after page after page of 50 domains when you have hundreds (or thousands).

it's such a simple change i don't understand why they are taking so much time. Listen to your customers GD!

Sorry, I meant 01/11/2018 which is tomorrow. I'm surprised why I can't manually renew or push the domain. How do I contact support apart from phone calls?
