Why are you so stupid?

I hate you. >:(

@Everyone who bids days before auction end time.

Now everybody has the domain on their watchlist :xf.cry:

Because of you >:(

How can someone be so dumb.

You've invited more competition, if few people saw the auction you would've had better chance at winning it for cheap. How stupid you are. :xf.frown:

Frank doesn't need to win a domain for $xx

Frank Schilling usually bids days before auction end time, is he stupid?

With FS it's different, he'd better pay an extra $100 than waste 1 hour of his time. Most domainers can't say the same.

Not really. But at this stage of the game he is not concerned if he wins. Its just a game now for him.Money is secondary not like when he stayed up long hours to get those domains that made him his fortune years ago..I cant really speak for him ,it's just my assumption. Its just like going fishing but on your super Yacht .Im bored,.I think ill just cast it out and see what I get..But there is always the thrill of the big one getting caught.
The thrill of the hunt.

Yes, you are right. For him, time is money.

It's not about a particular domain name. This is just a stupid practice I see every single day when browsing through auctions.

Agree. My guess is some are GD backorders and other early bids are non-domainers, or newbies.

Good for the seller. If everyone waited until the last minute the sniper war would be pretty messy. Some bid from the start what they think its worth to them.

I generally don't get it, either. Although, how many times have we all meant to go back to an auction and bid towards the end and totally forgot about it? There's just too many things (venues, ending times) to keep track of them all.

I definitely had that once... forgotten to go back and bid. Realized the day after and was disappointed.

Good for the registrar when the domain is at expiring auction.

If I know I will be out on vacation for a fews days I put my bids in advance.

On GD there is no such things as "snipper". When a bid is made the clock goes back to 5+ minutes.

They mean snipe it when it goes to closeout.

Well, I can see a lot of people on this thread say they do that but I want to know whether you win the auctions when you bid in advance? The first thing I note while browsing through auctions is which auctions have received a bid, everything else comes after that. If I like the domain and I think it's sellable, then I bid until I beat the max bid of that advance bidder and I win the auction unless the price goes over my budget but most of the time I win, and even if I don't win, most of the time I see that the advance bidder didn't win the domain because he was not there during the end-times :)

Yeah almost every marketplace has this time extension after last bid but that doesn't make a difference if there are not many bidders watching that auction. An advance bid changes this as more people put the domain on their watchlist.

Geez, I guess you must also hate all the bloggers that post lists of domains in or going to auction too. They just bring in all those that weren't even looking to bid on anything until. Isn't being a domainer just so hard... :xf.cry:

Does anyone else not want to bid people up if they can't get the name? I typically have a max I will pay for a domain. As I am bidding if I get to that number I say I am done with it. But then I say if X is my top dollar then X plus 1 or 2 bids would be okay. I just know it cuts into profits. But I go to that number bc if I can't get it for X, you don't get to get it for X either.
