depends on the domain name i guess, jiodiapers.com should be fine ... if its related to that 'big guy' in india , there could be trouble

It seems JIO is active in Domain Disputes. Recently it filed for INDRP (.IN Domain Name Dispute) over jiodhandhanadhan.in which commenced on 10 July 2017.

So please take care and better for now change the WHOIS of domain names, until you drop or delete them !

I'm a newbie and didn't know any better and bought a domain with a certain pill name for ED that starts with V. I wanted to resell it as a domain for affiliate sales because there are a few sites for affiliates for this product, and they all have the name in their domains. Is that a problem since it would be making money for their company? Also, if it is, why are places like GoDaddy allowed to sell them in the first place? (I'm guessing it's because they just want to make money and don't care who gets left holding the bag.)

Thanks in advance for your help!

I don't know about the rest of the world, but I believe in the USA if a US company can prove in court that the domain/website caused them damage by trademark infringement, they can sue for 100k damages.
I am not a lawyer, and no little about it I just remember reading this years back.

Can anybody provide some resources ( tools, sites etc ) to check for risk relating to trademarks so we can register domains without any hassle.
Any place i should check first when registering the new domain name?

That would be nice. I tried a site that was for checking trademarks, but all they wanted to do was check it so that they could register it FOR me.

I did just find the nice, helpful section on this in the helps/info for newbies section. (Don't quote me on that title for the section. Lol. I'm sure you get the gist.)
