I've read some beginners posts about how to sell domains as I'm quite new to this industry, and they talk about how you can earn more profit from end-users rather than resellers, and I think my domain that I have right now is pretty brandable and would serve well for end-users, hence more profit for me :xf.grin:.

So the question is how would I go about finding end-users and how to approach them to make them want to buy from me?
Any answer would be appreciated :xf.smile:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
The Name of the domain would help as a start ,so we know which niche or the target market :xf.smile:

Google is your friend if it has traditional dictionary words in it. Type the words into the search bar also separate the words and look for the drop down suggestions for possible multiple end user markets. Often times there might be more than one use especially if you have an abbreviation. If you have a very specific geo name you will have to contact alot of people- anyone who might find that name desirable for their business.

Try a landing page at once somewhere and list it at the major marketplaces.

@NADAMS It's DropFetch.com

1. Acquisition Reason: Why Did You Purchase this Domain ?
2. Markets: Who Did You Consider as your Target Market ?
3. Research: Have You done any research on the Name ?

The Names Good ,I like it just trying to figure what you had in mind and I am sure we can assist :xf.smile:

So I hand registered this domain few days ago. I thought it was brandable and memorable and can be used for many purposes.
There are 3 things that come to my mind right now.

  • First, it can be used for cloud storage site like Dropbox. DropFetch could be drop the files and fetch the files. you get the idea.
  • Second, It can be used for domaining site as a database for dropped domain and stuffs like that and there is a similar domaining site like dropcatch.com
  • Third, it can be used for site related to dog niche as it has keyword fetch in it.
There is quite a good amount of search each month as well, and I got this data from google keyword and it's about 10k -100k /month for both keywords Drop and Fetch.

Welcome to the forum. The name sounds good to domainers, precisely because it contains the word "drop".

However, I can't think why end-users would be interested in it. This is not to say the name will never sell, but it is the type of name for which end-users find you, instead of you finding them, such as many of the names for sale at Brandbucket.com.

If you are planning to actively find end-users, the best option is to acquire keyword-rich domains.

Your name is in a way a keyword name, but does not necessarily refer to a service in great demand or a real money-making industry.

The reason its high is because of DropCatch IMO and since its brand new you can't go running to whoever bought DropCatch and market it as it would look like you did it (registerd it) to sound like their name. If it was aged that might be an option but you will likely have to sell to a domainer or find an end user in the 2nd two markets. Forget about DropCatch market JMO. The dog aspect is good idea and the domaining you would sell to a domainer who might want to start another drop website or have that name for a future project.

So what is your suggestion? Should I put it out there in the marketplace or should I sell it to other domainers? And is Brandbucket an active marketplace for this type of domain?

Also, it can be used by storage/courier companies.
