My question is simple. Let's suppose i 've sent an outbound e-mail and the possible buyer replied that he is interested to buy this name. Soon, we agree to a win win price. After that, what?
  • Maybe it's better to send him a link of domain selling page in GD or Sedo? Avoid using them maybe put the deal on danger and make the buyer feel unsecure.
So, is this the best strategy? We have to send him on Afternic,GD or Sedo to finalize the transaction? Or using escrow on the landing pages can do faster the job? Which is the most professional way?

It depends on the amount of money. I used to have a reseller site, so I used to give the buyer an account, transfer the name into it, but block auth code access. I'd let him access the account to change name servers, he would send me the money, and, when funds had cleared, I would allow him to transfer the name away if he wamted to, or he could carry on using the service. I didn't ever have a proble, but I can see that I was probably lucky, and this could be dangerous.

You can do much the same with Name Silo without the risk, but you have to pay a small fee.

Along with agreeing price, I make sure what methods they can pay through and options available. Just ask them if they are familiar with escrow if they are initiate the transaction on escrow with 50/50 fees split.

I have never used before escrow. Is it safe for both sides?

It's absolutely safe! But a bit hectic at times as you have to verify and everything.
In your case what I would do is set up afternic price to the agreed price (Commissions would mean they would go from their pocket) and send the link to buyer informing you have set up instant buy now page and they can pay and initiate the transaction.

If you are not familiar with escrow, I'd suggest avoiding it at this point, it needs verification and a lot of stuff. I have heard praises of @Sedo escrow but they seem a bit slow, not sure about payoneer escrow either. But if its high figure sale I'd defiantly use Escrow provided it does not jeopardize the sale.

Thank you for the info. Just sending the godaddy link page to buy it from there is bad move?

I don't think it is bad, just inform them that it is safest and easiest way to get the deal completed.

Thanks mate. To say the truth, i believe that to pay their commision is worthy, because you make buyer feel secure.
