I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

Yes more potential buyer, and a garbage domain is still garbage, no matter what the extension.

Regardless of the actual domain name, when analyzing an extension:
Is there demand for that extension?
Is there a large customer base?

By limiting access to the extension, CIRA is in my opinion doing a disservice to the owners(their own customers) of .ca's. Have no doubt that domainers own the bulk of .ca registrations. I wish we were more organizationally minded and could be more assertive with CIRA and make them work to our advantage.

Unfortunately my sales for .ca seemed to peak about 5 years ago and have gone plummeting down ever since then. Has anyone read the new CASL regulations coming into effect on July 1, 2017? Some pretty hefty penalties regarding spam and email, etc.

How will this affected contacting potential end users, etc?

Wow... the times they are a changing... I actually just went through all my .ca to make final decisions on what direction I am going to go with them. At this point, development is the only way to bring them the value they deserve so I am prioritizing the order of development and in the mean time if somebody wants to buy I will sell

Unfortunately my sales for .ca seemed to peak about 5 years ago and have gone plummeting down ever since then. I invested in "marijuana" domains..strongly believe there will be a strong demand prior to and right after the legislation take place

Recent sale in our space potmart 500 first inquiry came through unireg. I told broker 1200 he quoted the guy 3300. I ditched uni at that point, contacted him direct. That was 6 months ago. Guy emailed me and we settled on 5 into my bank account.

Thanks to whc.ca who has helped me great deal lately. Great service, I reg a pile of names 2.99$ and they did nameservers, did some research why a name wont transfer. Is actually 65 days after reg to transfer .ca
The first 5 days dont count.
@namesilo was talking about getting .ca in their registrar, that would be awesome.

Becoming a fan of WHC.ca, only wish that I could "redirect" my domains, a feature that I used a lot at Godaddy..

Url forwarding.
Go to the name, then advanced button on right. Activate domain manger basic
For each individual name

Are you just looking to point the DNS to somewhere like parking? if so you can bulk edit the DNS by clicking the "select all" then at the bottom left under the names, there is a drop down menu... you can edit several areas there

Basically (for example) redirect a hypenated domain to its' unhyphenated version.

I usually use the parking service name server.
