Btw, whatever happen to GILSAN and RogueWriter?

Mission accomplished. They must have been re-assigned.

Trump is reportedly going to give a speech about Islam in Saudi Arabia. That should be entertaining, to say the least.

Trump is reportedly going to give a speech about Islam in Saudi Arabia.

Just got an advance copy:

Listen, I’m just telling it like it really is.
You don’t know, people who listen to me, they know.
You need to listen.
You are better off with me and my fake form of Christianity.
I’m the best.
Without me what will you have?
People love me. Other people, smart people. We get along perfectly.
I’m perfect.
When I leave, you will be stuck again with Islam. You don’t want that, do you?
I have won awards, I am so rich, and people love me.
I’m the best!
Ok, take care now Saudi Arabia...

I'm just hoping they take out ALL the trash, and don't leave any behind to stir things up in the future.

Didn't think anything would surprise me anymore ... until I read this:
“I just fired the head of the F.B.I. He was crazy, a real nut job,” Mr. Trump said, according to the document, which was read to The New York Times by an American official. “I faced great pressure because of Russia. That’s taken off.”

....He said that to Lavrov and Kislyev D-:!!!

Rumor that "Kush" has been named as a "person of interest"

"BREAKING NEWS: Former FBI Director James Comey to testify in open session before Senate Intelligence Committee. Details to come ..."

http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...-to-senate-panel-in-public-session/ar-BBBjDrk

"Donald Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, has reportedly been identified as a “person of interest” in the ongoing investigation into possible ties between Russia and Donald Trump’s campaign"

Hard to keep track of all of this. Who knew putting an unqualified con man into the White House would lead to so many issues.

Would be hilarious if the Muslim countries Trump is visiting banned him from entering.

Would pay them to ban him from leaving...

Saudis aren't going to ban him - he just signed a big business deal with them. Hmmm - they weren't on the ban list even though most of the 9/11 hijackers were from there. Guess that explains it.

Speaking of 911, let me ask you all a question. Do you know how many war game exercises were being run on the morning of 911?

None in this area that I saw or heard. I'm only a few miles from the city. Beautiful clear, quiet morning, no military planes buzzing around beforehand.
How many are run on any given weekday morning? Serious question, I don't have much military knowledge.

There's a reason for that. In short, many NE sector fighter jets had been sent to Alaska, Northern Canada, Greenland and Iceland for drills.
How many are run on any given weekday morning?
Great question. I am still wondering about the average number of drills on any random day but this particular day still stands out because on the morning of 911 the drills included live exercises with military planes posing as hijacked plans over the US, as well as simulated exercises that placed virtual planes on FAA radar screens.

My next question would be this. What are the odds that a group of terrorists (with limited flight experience and box cutters for weapons) could first successfully identify and then exploit the opportunity created by the vulnerability of the NE sector caused by these drills on that one specific morning?

That's sort of an odd statement. There was no particular vulnerability or "opportunity" arising from the exercises that was exploited. In point of fact, while the air defense system of the US was primarily geared for attacks originating outside of the US, the exercises ensured that more, rather than fewer, people were on duty that day.

https://web.archive.org/web/2002091...ontent/publication/awst/20020603/avi_stor.htm

In retrospect, the exercise would prove to be a serendipitous enabler of a rapid military response to terrorist attacks on Sept. 11. Senior officers involved in Vigilant Guardian were manning Norad command centers throughout the U.S. and Canada, available to make immediate decisions.

Yes that was the "official" explanation given by Richard Myers during the hearings, many of us remember it. An explanation one would expect from a 4 star Airforce General who's ass was very much on the line for obvious reasons. Perhaps you would also feel confidence in explaining the official explanation of the delayed fighter response times on 911? I'm all ears.

Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, who accompanied Trump to Saudi Arabia said he found it "fascinating" that he did not see "a single hint of a protester anywhere there during the whole time we were there."

And you thought this admin was full of idiots....

The reporter interviewing him should have pointed out that they behead people for things like that.

Manchester - Killing a bunch of kids isn't a political statement. So far no group has claimed responsibility..l

Ah, yes, the "official explanation" rhetorical device. I like the way you use it redundantly for emphasis. I'll bet you are a sharp guy who doesn't buy into the "official explanation" nonsense about icebergs and the Titanic, or sugar and tooth decay.

No, I'm not playing the 9/11 Truther game with you. Put simply, the fighters had nowhere to go, and even if they had been scrambled at 8:40 when NORAD was first notified, they (a) would not have been in New York six minutes later when Flight 11 impacted, and (b) would not have shot down a civilian airliner in any event.

Well that was interesting, think I'll save that one for posterity.

In any event, I am most certainly a truth seeker (in all things) but I don't consider myself part of any group, "truthers" or otherwise. Now if you would like to play labeling games, which let's face it, are really just meant to ridicule and marginalize people that have joined together in a common cause, I suppose we should call the parties towing the Bush/Cheney party line "Deceivers" if you like...But I digress.

Here's a softball for you jberryhill. Have you watched the Zapruder film?

the parties towing the Bush/Cheney party line

The conclusion that the events of 9/11 were due to the coordinated efforts of person who hi-jacked planes and flew them into buildings, does not stand or fall on the credibility of either Bush or Cheney. It stands on the facts, which are independent of either of them.

Hitler was a vegetarian. It does not make vegetarians "Hitler supporters".

If you want to call me a "Cheney" supporter, then good luck, since I participated in one of the best pranks ever played on him: http://www.nytimes.com/2004/10/07/politics/campaign/just-the-facts-yes-but-where-are-they.html?_r=0

But the time is long past when I found it to be amusing to go over the "no plane" theories, "silent thermite explosives", "bulges on grainy youtube videos", "falling at free fall speed", "whattabout building 7" etc. along with the "planes going the wrong direction at the Pentagon" and so on. It's amusing stuff, but ultimately bullshit. I have three degrees in engineering with a minor in physics and significant work in material science involving metal alloys and will not entertain irrelevant idiocy like "fire doesn't melt steel" (hint: it doesn't have to melt to lose most of its structural strength).

If you are of the "where's the Pentagon" plane variety, you might enjoy this:

Have you watched the Zapruder film?

Yes. In fact, I own a DVD copy of it that was scanned and stabilized in hi-def from the National Archives copy of the Zapruder film. I have also been to Dealey Plaza. It's an easy shot. Incidentally, if you watch the stabilized copy closely enough, you can see JFK and Connolly flinch at practically the same moment, since they were lined up with the flight path of the bullet that penetrated the soft tissue of JFK's neck and into Connolly's back toward his wrist:

And, in case you were wondering, NASA really did put a number of people on the moon, there is no evidence that aliens are responsible for ancient builders' long-honed skill in moving and building with rocks, RFK was shot by Sirhan Sirhan, and MLK was shot by James Earl Ray, John Kerry lost the electoral vote in Ohio in 2004, the Shroud of Turin is a remarkable artifact of medieval origin, life on earth evolved to its present forms and astrology is bullshit.

Oh, and... Hitler committed suicide in his bunker in Berlin.

We have serious political and Constitutional problems facing us. Bullshit does not help.

I agree, so let's cut through the BS. Not sure who you are addressing all your historical event statements to, I simply asked if you had seen the Zapruder film. If we are both game perhaps we can discuss it all at some point, but for now I simply asked you about the JFK film mainly to get your answer to one question. From what direction did the fatal head shot originate?

From what direction did the fatal head shot originate?

From up and to the rear. He was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald from the sixth floor of the Texas Schoolbook Depository.

Specifically like this:

As demonstrated by the x-rays taken of the skull:

The spasmodic jerking of his body in response to a massive brain trauma is not an indicator of the direction of the bullet.
