I decided to change it up and I recorded my first video for Zandibot. My video production skills need work, but if you guy love videos, I will continue learn more and provide you better production!

Today, I am covering the process I use to bulk forward all of my domain names to Afternic buy it now pages. This is a new approach for me in 2016 and I wanted to share the process with you as well.

why are you guys not simply using the domain registrars redirect option?

why are you guys not simply using the domain registrars redirect option?

Because it's so tedious to go through hundreds or thousands of names one-by-one forwarding each of them (to a different address each on top of that).

Most of the registrars you get when dropcatching with snapnames don't offer forwarding or charge a fee for forwarding domains. Nameserver redirection is the only way to forward domains at these registrars.

go search for imacros

don't waste yuor time with anything other than above.com for controling redirects and all your traffic.. etc.. or just going between various park companies too if you want.
its free. unlimited.

and I switch all my domains, from all my registrars, to any url forward (masked or unmasked) in exactly 2 seconds of my time and 2 clicks.

you're doing it all wrong or at least not optimially, if you are not doing it using above.com

hope this helps
ciao

Sounds feasible but wouldn't you need to write the script and customize it all?

it records your input
may need some trial and error and maybe some fixes
but maybe it works straight forward

I know a guy who wants to do it for you..

Yes thanks for your fast answer. I've used various macros including the recording option and scripted options. Scripted works great but needs to be written correctly first and can be tedious work. I've also used software with more options but all in all unless you have a lot of names and registrars probably would be overkill.

try it
you want to remove the code that is the url

I use it for nameservers a lot

You used to tout Bodis. What led you to change your preference?

we do best we can with what we know and have.. at any given time
its just called evolution :)

I've simply never used anything better than above.com for these things.
and you will know exactly why I say it after you try it :)

you just set all yoru domains on all registrars once.. to above.com DNS.. and leave it there forever.. and control all your park companies or url redirects from there... with couple clicks...

it was designed (partly) for this.. bodis is just a parking company.. with a url redirect without going through parked ads option.

who knows.. maybe one day I evolve more and find better than above.com
I doubt it. but I can't say it won't happen. I can just say it hasn't happened yet :)

hope this helps

enjoy.

use this as domain index.php:

<?php
preg_match('/[^.]+\.[^.]+$/', $_SERVER["HTTP_HOST"],$match);
$domain= $match[0];
{
// echo $domain;

$afternicurl="http://www.afternic.com/domain/";
header("Location: $afternicurl$domain");

}
else {
// echo "wow";
}
?>

I registered to give them a try, but from what I can see they don’t offer dynamic redirection. The only bulk redirection they offer is a “Custom 302 Redirect”, and they don’t seem to permit you to use tokens like “{{DOMAIN}}”. If you can’t use a token to indicate that it should be replace with the domain that is being forwarded, it’s not really an alternative to nameserver.io, and can't be used in the context discussed int his thread. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Also, has anyone noticed forwards not working anymore due to nameserver.io's new limits?

This is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. Thanks Ali!

I was doing some work on Bodis domains and I noticed the redirect feature, pretty handy. I didn't know above had that also. Both very powerful.

Enjoyed the video, but darn... I went to Nameserver.io tonight and there's a notice on their home page saying they are stopping service on November 30th 2017 and to have your nameservers changed out before then...

Yeah, I had just changed the server for all my domains and it worked flawlessly for a couple of days and now no longer works. What a shame. Loved the convenience.

I started using a script and do this with my own hosting and my own website. Much easier to control and I can forward anywhere and change it on the fly if needed. I am forwarding certain names to 1 page and that page redirects to another page of my choosing.

Yessir!

With those, it shouldn't matter where the domains are. It works for me at GoDaddy and Uniregistry seamlessly and I believe at NameCheap as well. other places not tested yet.

Those nameservers will forward ALL of your domains to their specific Buy It Now sales lander at Afternic. Correct.

Until other registrars "fix" the issue (which I believe is that they aren't recognizing the long nameservers, even though some registrars (ahem.. Uniregistry) do recognize them.

So if you are 100% at Afternic, doesn't matter which registrar, use these:

AN.1.NAMESERVER.IO
AN.2.NAMESERVER.IO

I changed my nameservers for a domain to the one's you recommended and nothing happened. The site is down (it was 24 hours ago). I suppose it's possible the DNS didn't populate yet. But seems unlikely. Does this "fix" still work?

Don't use those NS... they won't work anymore anyway.
