Fasthosts $1 Special for .com Registrations

Just discovered that new .com registrations at FastHosts are around a dollar.

Yes, ended for me too. I only managed 6 names with them, I'd have registered more yesterday if I'd known the end was near.

For years I always stayed with the "top" registrars.

Sure, there were minor problems.

I didn't mind paying the usual "reg fee" for the peace of mind.

I pondered using cheap registration deals for a long time.

But something always told me to stay away.

Well, last year I finally took a shot with FH and Domain/com and co's.

@usernamex wins the award for the smartest domainer.

Unfortunately, I was not so smart, and was lured in by the FH cheap domain bait.

I should have listened to my gut feeling about this.

A terrible experience, I hope I will never have again.

Fasthosts!!! no thanks I tried to make an account but couldn't they told me they will call to complete registration but they didn't I registered for the second time and they asked me to send passport, driver license and bank account statement with same billing address specified in the credit card before I can use their services or 24 hr and they will close the account, always had a problem with uk registrars I don't know whats wrong with them treating customers like criminals !!!

Yes, deal ended. We did quite well, registered about 100 domains with them. This particular offer had been running for a while so I suppose this was inevitable. I think they will probably struggle now in attracting new members... so long FH, it was good while it lasted!

I had a similar experience, but worse, because I already had an account and domains.

Be careful complaining about your bad experiences with FH here on this thread, you could be attacked just for trying to warn other members.

only regged 319 names i wanted at least 1000 but life got in the way and had no time.
i sold 4 to resllers for a total of $250 and 1 to a enduser for $750. so a total of $1000. not great not terrible.

I even lost some deals because at first fasthosts had suspicious image. or some buyers wanted names at GD and couldnt wait for transfer but overall still it was great till it lasted, will miss it for sure.

Clearly I love the promos and deals, and there are always tricks to getting the promos to work in your favor, which obviously many people used FastHosts to be successful with. Personally, timing wise, my renewals took precedence over new hand reg, so the hassle outweighed the need *for me*
