I was surfing through the auctions in dropcatch.com and I found an auction for a english dictionary word "syncretize". I am a newbie in domaining and I have an impression that ALL dictionary words are taken and will be extremely expensive to acquire. But, clearly it is not that case here.

The auction is open for public and the highest bid seems to be only 60 bucks. I can think of only two reasons

1. I have stumbled upon a rare opportunity.

2. Some of the dictionary words like these are uncommon in practice, hence are devalued.
Here is a link to the auction on NJ - dropcatch.com/Domain/SYNCRETIZE.COM

Let me know if I am wrong to assume the second reason.

It's not a common word, and it's meaning is "to combine or attempt to combine the characteristic teachings, beliefs, or practices of (differing systems of religion or philosophy)" That's not a popular topic at the moment. It's difficult to think of a way to monetise it as well.

The "Z" doesn't help either.

I guess it's because it doesn't sound nice and is not meaningful?
