One thing I've learned while doing email marketing is how easy it is to get banned by email service providers. They have extremely low tolerance for spam, the standard is that if more than 0.1% of the email you send is marked as spam, you get sacked, banned, gone.

Thus, your marketing of whois emails as spam will HAVE A BIG EFFECT of them getting sacked from their ESP. Don't just ignore them, report them. And tell your friends to do it as well.

Yes most email service providers are honest and think long term!

I report all the spam email I get from people trying to sell me domains or hosting or development or whatever else to my email provider, Gmail. They do a pretty good job at cleaning things up.

How many of us get so much spam that it's just easier to ignore?

Probably all of us. but if you ignore it. It's not going to go away. It's probably going to get worse. It's one reasons I chose to move most of my email to Gmail. Because their spam protection is first class and easy to use. And lots of end-users reporting spam, probably makes them the most anti-spam friendly email provider on the planet. Their algorithms appear to be awsome.

Yep, we use Gmail too, and they are very good.

How hard is it to check mark a box and click phishing scam? Check the box at the top and it marks them all in one shot. And personally i dont ignore the junk folder either as unspammy emails end up there
