Virtual Reality Domains (VR)

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
Im betting big bucks on VR domains have a great future and with the big boys buying up VR companies, mainstream is a stones throw away.....

Lots of VR+keyword.com taken years ago and I noticed this sale a week or so back -

VRTechnology.com $3688

This was a steel and I can soon see everything from VRPoker / VRCasinos / VRShopping / VRBrowsing / VRTours / VRWorlds / etc etc....having a high price tag even now at the start of VR hitting mainstream...

I have just paid $x,xxx for a name but will not be showcasing as the domain is in escrow at present....

Feel free to showcase your VR domains If you like...

Cheers

Hey ho, thanks for the advice :) , I'll just forget about them for 3-5 years then maybe ask the same question. Fingers crossed the VR Animation Industry will of taken off by then and I might have a better chance.

Wrong mentality to have. You're stuck in the lottery phase of domaining. A lot of us have been there done that when we started, but you soon realise that you need to adapt your approach if you want to survive in domaining. Don't use a shotgun and pray something hits, use a sniper rifle and aim for the bulls eye.

Just my opinion, good luck!

Got VRXray/./com and VRPhysician/./com. Also a couple of other keywords related to this field like Diagnosis.

How Virtual Reality will empower the future of NHS care

There is no better time for VR to break into the medical industry.

Transforming medic training
Although there is an emphasis on the benefits of VR for patients and consumers, the technology can also be beneficial for training doctors, surgeons and the medics of the future. As the elderly population increases, so does the need for those doctors who are specialising in geriatric care and the ongoing requirement for younger generations to completely understand their patients.

A recent Embodied Labs project called “We Are Alfred” uses VR to help bridge a growing gap between new training medical students and their geriatric patients who are over 60. Where a training doctor may have no real experience and knowledge of what it feels like to be this age, and the impairments or deteriorations they may have developed, students can be immersed into a hypothetical patient’s life complete with audio-visual impairments. The benefit of this project was clear, the doctor could experience firsthand what it's like to be told you have an impairment, as well as learning more about the patient’s personal and family relationships.

The best anime is 2D. 3D anime isn't traditionally "anime" anymore. So VR anime related names don't make sense to me personally... Borderline shit domain...

hmm I think that's like saying VRcomics doesn't make sense.. no?

and yet both VRcomics and VRanime.com are both 15+ year old domains.. probably worth small fortunes now.

when I doubt, use hosterstats.com... VR domains that have certain age to them are nearly in all cases guaranteeed to be worth having and expensive to buy domains.. which is not to say there cannot be a lower quality/value 20 year old VR domain... or a money maker 2-3 year old VR domain.. but I think we all get the point here.

that being said, aside from VRanime and VRcomics (+all its back front and longer tail vairations).. I don't think any other combos of these are worth having... but yeah.. those two are defiitely gems in my books! wish I owned them!

jm 2 cents

cheers

Nah

which part is a nah.. small fortunes or 15+ years?

either way... small fortunate is a relative word.. I bet 99% of vr domainers would love to own those domains...

I'll put them in say... top 50 VR keywords.. just as a wild quick estimate to throw out there!

but hey.. you have the right not to appreciate those domains or keywords.

cheers

There are domains as old as the Internet that aren't worth even reg fee. Age has little to do with the value of a domain anymore. I understand the name sounds nice but practically speaking, what would be the use case for "VRAnime", since anime is typically 2D? I think it sounds and looks good but whether or not a business could use that name is a completely different story....

I'd expect VR Anime to become huge. It could allow fans of the genre to actually enter the world of Anime and not just look at it.

I don't see it having traditionally been 2D as an issue. TV, movies and games were all purely 2D once and they're already becoming a big part of VR.

I think VRAnimeGirl.com and VRAnimeGirlfriend.com aren't bad, considering there are already VR products being released in Japan catering to men looking for these things.

about age of domains.. what you say may apply more to non .com.. like org/net/biz etc.. though usually its even true for those that age is a fantastic indicator of domain potential and desirability..... you can be sure that people do not hold or renew domains for many many years for nothing.. it simply does not happen... minus few exceptions as always...alternatively (with exception of some new techs etc) if you see a domain on hosterstats.com that has not been regged or touched for 5 years or so.. you mihgt as well skip right by it and not waste your time regging it. as it has been passed in those years by millions of other domainers... as I always say, millionsof domainers can't all be wrong :)

as for VR anime, etc... well... it is perfectly fine imo if a lot of uses of VR are still even outside our realm of imagination. to me it is a big part of VR will be, that it will not only match or reflect our current reality and all we do within it, but also to exceed it and go beyond it! so I am not really concerned at all if I sometmes may find myself unable to fully appreciate or understand a concept relating to VR.

that being said, VRanime or VRcomics or VRbook or VRmagazine are certainly not part of these concepts I have a hard time imagining or understanding in VR... potential and options are actually quite big and large for those keywords in VR.

Exactly. Not only that, whether or not anime is not technically anime if it's 3d has no relevance to domain valuation if millions are willing to pay $$$ to enter a virtual reality world consisting of anime girls etc.

I also doubt if anyone here would refuse VrAnimeP*** if it was available to hand reg. (I do have VrHentaiP***)

Very true. New technology, new rules.

I expect you'll be getting plenty of interest in VrAnimeP*** in the coming months and years.

What do you think about VRKN.com domain (N - is number)? It is worth something?

KN doesn't really have all too many inherent meanings as an acronym, but might still work for certain businesses. I like using acronymfinder to see what people regularly use at a glance; http://www.acronymfinder.com/KN.html

That said - 4L.coms with VR in it are a pretty hot ticket now. Nice domain.

I picked up VRVR.biz for $5 at closeouts - for the heck of it.

Ah, I understand now. I'm pretty sure K1-K5 is a bunch of famous mountains, so It could have potential for any simulation of that sort. Don't quote me on the interest for it, though. VRK9 could be shorthand for a VR pet / dog / dog trainer etc - I like it. I don't think it has a lot of inherent value as a "chip domain" yet - maybe in a few years when VR truly skyrockets to the moon.
