question What metrics of expired domain are you looking for?

When hunting for expired or expiring domain what metrics is most valuable to you?
Obviously the name and probably the age.
What about backlink profile, Moz DA, archive, a number of monthly searches for that name etc?

yes, those have some weight...but the first thing is simply...can I make a profit if I buy it? Who am I going to sell it too?...names worth buying will jump out at you once you know what your looking for. Study and read the threads here and put your wallet away till you have got it down.

Yep, that is exactly what I was looking for when I bought a 5 letter expired domain at GD auction.
It looks brandable, but it has thousands of spammy backlinks. It may not worth much if someone wants to develop it...
