This thread is a central location to report domain name sales of any dollar amount.

As much information as you can include about the transaction is welcome, but at a bare minimum please include the domain name(s), the sale price, and whether you were the seller.

Good luck with your sales!

That's correct. The domain also sold here on NamePross for $36,000 but the buyer backed up.
Actually it was more complicated. I accepted $85,000 offer for this domain, but that buyer backed up as well, than it sold for $60,000.

Chinese buyer, names seems to be a shortner of their home state, but with them it can mean anything no idea, and they said Chinese did not like vowels lol

I can only imagine how long that deal took, if you got your ask with a Chinese buyer, who always want a deal.

I gigged out there was a Chinese Real Estate company involved in another offer just days before the $85,000 offer came up. Who knows. The domain is not parked nor developed. And it's under privacy.
I still have the .co version :)

We should share some notes. I have few dozen similar names, and during outbound we get way too many how much's, however at that price point they balk or walk away!

Pirate*** dot com

Sale Venue: Outbound
Sales Price: $250
Purchase Price: $4.99
Details: It was a hand reg domain after some end user research who might be interested to own this domain. I just contact the end user via gmail platform and then they came with $250 offer. I counter to $500 but rejected and said its their budget. The quality of domain is important, its should be related to their business or product they want to build in future.

Nice sale! Insane that Godaddy makes $12,000 in commission for barely doing anything.

Whatever was going on, it was an associate from GoDaddy (in China) who came to me with the offer. Buyer asked to set a "Buy it now" price at go daddy and since it's limited to $50k I had to set it up as GD premium listing. Bottom line, in this case they deserve it since they brought me the buyer.

Damn I almost think you could have sold that for more by placing it thru godaddy auctions with no reserve, at a $12 start. Lots of people go to hollywood, and need a bailbondsman. Good recovery of capital if you weren't going to renew it though.
