Last week, we published our first video on our YouTube channel about What makes a Good Domain Name. The channel is focused towards entrepreneurs and business owners to educate them on the value and benefits of quality domain names.

Apart from the obvious improvement in production quality, I would appreciate your thoughts on this?

Thanks

David

I agree - actually OYnames.com is available - that's a potential traffic leak for you.

Thanks @Kuffy - Definitely something that I will think about.

What did you think about the content? I've got a lot of ideas for the channel and any feedback is helpful.

Thanks

Maybe it's a cultural thing?

OY! isn't very popular in the USA, but I'm assuming it's quite popular in the UK. That said, it doesn't appear to be used much in .co.uk domains? Correct me if I'm wrong, but a google search of "oy" site:.co.uk only returns OYDomains.co.uk (expired and no longer redirecting) and OYPhotos.co.uk (which redirects to OY.smugmug.com)

Then not being familiar with the phrase, is it oi or oy?

Not trying to bash on your domain @xaster, simply analyzing it. I think it's actually quite catchy.

Thanks @Grilled for your thoughts.

OY or OI are common expressions in the UK. It is particularly used for getting someone's attention. That's an ethos that I adopt, I want my domains (and my clients) who acquire them to get the attention of their audience.

I own both oydomains.com and oidomains.com, so that should remove confusion. Being catchy is what I was going for.

Thanks for your kind words.
