I'm Rodrigo and my name is owned by a clothing company from Turkey.

Rodrigo.com

What about yours? What's your name and who owns it?
Would you like to have your first name in .COM? and if so, how much would you pay for it?

Hmmm I'm gonna have to scratch my head here...

If I recall correctly, my fist .com was way way back, when I setup my very first website...
Be-the-boss.com, it was a affiliate marketing site in the make money online niche. It was my first site and first attempt at online marketing so the site layout was horrible but at the time I was REALLY proud of my little "baby"...lol - ended up dropping the site and moving on to other projects after I learned how to actually put up a decent looking site. I see the domain be-the-boss.com is now up for sale by Huge Domains for a Buy it Now price of $3245

I hand registered one of my names back in 2005. And then another one a few years later, that cost me about $160 in a drop auction. I don't use them much at all, just some E-mail accounts configured but you never know. My advice is to buy yours if you can, you never know and you might even regret you procrastinating down the road.
At least you can put a nice E-mail address on your CV - it can't hurt.

Nice one! Do you see much action, in terms of offers/interest?

Wow. :|.

Stellar grab! If you develop it for yourself, you might benefit from some "Alberta.ca" typo traffic. ;)

...back to .com.

Domainer owns my first name .com, and they're asking $11k. I can't afford it atm, but considering how common my name is, it's relatively cheap. Maybe someday...:)

Hi Albert, I hope you own it, but from CIRA: "02001 The domain name provided is reserved for the use of a Canadian municipality. Contact CIRA for more information."

Sorry to rain on your parade.

BTW @hxp I typed AlbertA when I started that sentence…

Yup got that sorted with CIRA already. The municipality it was reserved for (in Manitoba) ceased to exist in 2015 so the hold was removed. It will still show up like that on their whois though. until they update it.

Well, Canadian for now. Yes we have sold and still have a good number of .CA domains.

But this is not the place to talk. In the spirit of this thread my first name martin[.]com was registered 25 years ago, so before we started buying, but I did manage to get iRussell.com : I'm just waiting for the more famous Martin Russell or for that matter Russell Martin to come after me in a UDRP ala Dennis Miller going after the doctor…
