Came across this local story. Apparently she's been offered some nice $$ for the domain. PresidentTrump.com

Not a fan of Trump at all but a valuable domain is a valuable domain.

Julie Magill deals in real estate. She is also the owner of the domain name and website at PresidentTrump.com.

She bought the domain name because she thought it might be worth more than what she paid for it - $9 - to someone else one day. She was right.

Risky! She can take advantage and sell it now for a nice roi. Or she can risk it and wait to see if Trump wins and sell it for even more. If trump loses then the name become useless again and she would have regret leaving alot of money on the table.

I think you mean "trademarked" and a trademark covers classes of goods, not every possible use. So Trump casinos and real estate names are not a good gamble.

He has successfully used UDRP to get Trump names, but UDRP on 1000 names at $1500 per name would cost... well not a lot for a billionaire.

The moment Trump declared his candidacy, citizens have the first amendment right to put up websites and discuss it. A UDRP loss could be challenged in US court.

Now just Trump followed by the year can be seen different because he has has business Trump TMs, especially long before declares.

It's more like: "This domain is not for sale, ever. But make me an offer I can't refuse".

This is ridiculous, even if Trump wins what do you do with this domain. It's more a liability than an asset.
And I think the offers are BS.
