Privacy breach domainbigdata.com

Hey everyone, I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question, I apologize if this is the wrong thread.

I would appreciate some advice on a problem that I have. There is this website called "www.domainbigdata.com". They are publishing all my personal information without my permission, my phone number, email address, personal address and basically everything that has to do with me. This is effecting my professional life since some one of the website that they have associated me with is a porn website.

I have tried to contact them, but no one is responding. The email that domainbigdata is registered to is "[email protected]". I don't believe this is a real email adress. They allow you to delete one domain from their website if you like their Facebook page. I visited their facebook page and it is filled with people complaining about their information being shared on the internet without their permission and that it is impossible to contact the company.

I did some research and found the domain registered to a company named "BOEHRER Francois". I found this odd and did some more research and found the company closed in 2014, yet the website is still active, I also found the phone number associated with a bunch of african scam websites and the adress of the company was in a residential street in France.

I have contacted namecheap and deleted all of the domains I have ever registered in my name. My question is, since there is no way of contacting the website and I am no longer the owner of those domains is there a way I can get the information deleted or at least not show up in google.

This is one of the things that can happen when you don't use privacy/private registrations. They just go through the whois data and gather up the information, which is public. I doubt you can do much about it other than keep trying to get them to fix/remove it.

If you are selling domains then it's usually better to not use privacy because this give you one more way that potential buyers might contact you. However, it does get all your information out there and spread around. If it's on that site then it's more than likely on other as well.

If you are are using domains to build sites then privacy can be a good thing, to avoid things like this as well as some other issues.

Hey ulterios, Thanks for the reply. I wish I knew that before hand, I assumed all of the domains had automatically whoisprotection, apparently two of my domains did not. I will try to convince them and if they don't reply I will probably contact google and invoke "right to be forgotten" since the information is inaccurate now that I am no longer the owner of those domains.

You are most welcome my friend. It happens to a lot of people, especially since many new domain owners don't even know what private registrations are or that they even exist. You can try to keep sending them emails in hopes that they might get tired of hearing from you and actually respond to them.

As for removing them from Google by "right to be forgotten", it's easier said than done. Some people have tried over and over again with no luck. If you can't get the site to remove them then it's at least worth a shot.

Even with privacy registration, personal data can be gotten. I registered my domain for privacy, but there is a waiting period of 2 months when the info is public, and it must have been how DomainBigData got mine. I contacted EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation), but they said to consult a lawyer, which I did. It doesn't seem to be basically illegal to do what DBD does, but if it causes specific harm then you can use a lawyer, and he will send a letter of desist or something of that nature to DBD, and I imagine after you can sue if they don't comply. In my case there has been no specific damage.

Hello everyone

I just had the same issues with this site publishing my personal information. Seems like they got it from WhoISIP.

I've sent them tons of emails asking to remove my personal information but apparently it just goes in a spam folder.

For anyone who's wondering how to remove your information just go to this link:
domainbigdata.com/domain-update.
Like their Facebook page first (you can immediately unlike it) and then you'll be able to put in your domain name + email address.
After having this done you'll receive a confirmation email that you want your information to be removed.

I hope I helped someone out.

Do they have an option to bulk delete the harvested whois details.
I am getting physical spam in the form of cash on delivery packages sent to my old address by scammers. The address has been harvested from domainbigdata as it is to be found only on their website.
The option of deleting one by one is too tedious.
They need to provide an option to bulk delete several domains.
Their contact form is not working too.

So does every whois i bet mine would find your info too if you haven't set it to private and tell you another 10 similar names. I dont think your privacy is breeched you had it available before you added privacy or they just wouldn't have it.
