Domains appearing to be banned by Google

Spaceship Spaceship
Watch
This is informational...I was in the middle of making a sale for one of my domains and we were about to close and they suddenly backed out. The web pro told the buyer that the domain was banned by google....of course I was upset, worried, you name the emotions...

Time for research:
Reading an article I found that if you type site:domainname.com, it will tell you if your domain is indexed. If its not indexed, sites like ismywebsitepenalized.com will come back as "definitelypenalized". Other sites such as bannedcheck.com or isbanned.com came back fine.

I did research and found that new domains that haven't been indexed by google may comeback as banned on a few of the free checkers.

Resolution: I went to my webmaster tools, and added the site while it was still parked at the register. I verified it using the domain name provider method and now site:domainname.com is showing up...hence google WILL show my domain when searched, therefore NOT BANNED! Changed my nameservers back to efty and they show up in google.

I've decided to do this with all my domains to avoid any future confusion.......still waiting for the sale to go through, but I know she still wants it, we're just waiting for the web pro to give her the go ahead....I don't see a problem now, but what a scare

FYI (ismywebsitepenalized.com is still coming back definitely banned)...don't know if this site is as good or what, but when I type in the domain W/O "site:" it comes up just fine, where before I did the webmaster tools, I got nothing....

Enjoy, hope this helps!

I've had two names I purchased that were marked as banned or faillisted when adding them to parking companies. One of the names had a website and when I restored it Google ads worked just fine. I pointed this out to the parking companies, but they said it was still banned/faillisted. After spending almost $1500 for these two names I was a little pissed to say the least, but I still cannot figure out why I can use adsense on one yet can't park them unless using zeroclick which I think is complete bs.

Sorry if not entirely related OP.

Does the websites of the "banned" domains show up in google search results using site:domainname.com?

afaik, banned from parking is different from banned from adsense which is again different from not being indexed

could be wrong though

The site: operator shows all the pages in Googles index. If a site was deindexed because it was banned, it won't show up.

But there could be another reason, like a new site which Google hasn't found yet or a site which is blocked from being crawled. Or the previous site was down long enough that pages were removed.

They are different. You can be banned from Adsense or a parking feed and still be indexed. It would make sense that if you're banned from Googles parking feed you'd be banned from Adsense (and vice versa), since the ads for both come from Adwords advertisers, not sure if that's the case though. Sites banned from Adsense for policy violations may be treated differently than those that committed Adsense click fraud.

Both domains show up using site:domain.com, but do not display their original sites; only shows info as if they are parked. Maybe the previous owners had them banned from adsense at one time as well as the parking companies? Anyway, at this point I can serve adsense if I run a website, but not parked.

Well, if it had been banned you likely won't see any results for that domain. You can check in Webmaster tools for "Manual Actions" to see if there is anything negative on your domain.

Banned from Google Adsense is different from banned from Parking. You need to be sure which one you are referring to'

The best banned from parking check I've found is http://fail.namewest.com/ This will return Faillist in red if any domain is banned from parking. It will return this for every domain where Google has told the parking companies they will not pay for any traffic for that domain to the parking companies. (usually this is because of parking abuse in it's history). It's as good as impossible to remove this ban, even when following Matt Cutts advice to the letter. I know. I've tried it.

Does anyone have a similar link for banned from Google Adsense. One with multiple domain lookup capabilities?
