Yes. Only deal with members who have a a track record of honesty by reading their trade reviews by other members who have already traded with them. Since you are a new member with no trade reviews yet. It would be best for you to be a buyer for awhile and let people get familiar with dealing with you to build up some trust towards you.

That is not true. For a $450 transaction, you will pay only $25 in fees.

+ $40 wire transfer
+ bank fees to receive money (at least mine)
+ unknown fee during currency conversion

Oh that I can't tell. I've always been requesting check on Escrow. That is FREE! If you choose to go with more expensive options, that is because you want to pay more.

Who needs US-check outside US???
To process it in other country - minimum a few weeks are needed + fee for this operation.

p.s. My bank don't charge anything when wire is paid by sender.
So on such volumes I lose $65 (25 + 40) with Escrow and that's all.
To avoid conversions - open USD or multicurrency-account in your bank.

I am from Canada and I ask for checks. I don't NEED it, but is allows me to save on fees. Checks are free. And yes it takes a few weeks to clear.

Currency conversion cannot be considered as fees, as you said, a USD account is key!

You should try sedo escrow service. they use 3% as commissions.

Sedo's minimum is $60.
So for $450-transaction Escrow is better.

+ you may split Escrow-fee 50/50 with Buyer or 100% on Buyer.
Such options exist there.

www.epik.com/services/escrow/
FREE Escrow for Epik-domains and 1.5% for others.

These funds are available for immediate use at Epik, or can be disbursed to an account of your choosing (for a minor service fee).

So launch LiveChat on epik.com and ask about international wire-transfer and their fee...
Then post here...

multi currency accounts in gemany don't have any advantage
as you pay same fees as if you convert directly

minimum fee for a USD check in germany is at least 15 €
some banks talk about
"those check may rebounce within a 6 years period"
and don' t want them

cheapest way to recieve money within germany
from the us is

global mastercard
http://www.global-konto.com
but no checks here

I have multicurrency-account (UAH/USD/EUR) in Ukrainian bank and I don't pay any fees for incoming wire-transfers if they are already paid by sender.
If not paid - my bank charge no more than $20.

Sedo don't pay for wire-transfers on their side (fee on receiver), so I lose no more than $20 instead of $40 with Escrow.

pure escrow = only escrow
no sale through their system
-remove domain from their system before initiating escrow-

why every one use wire transfer when they can easly use papal or cridet card , i know wire transfer is less fees but if you out side US the bank will get aditional fees .

I know. But even for so called "pure escrow" Sedo's minimum is $60.

In many countries PayPal works in send-mode only, withdraw and receiving are impossible.
Ukraine as example.

I also don't like them for their high fee.
