I generally have liked Pheenix, despite their problems. but lately, they have been very getting worse and worse in successfully catching domains. I know others have shared that here too. Two days ago I entered a few names i wanted. They weren't top domains so i wasn't going to be too sorry if they didn't get them. They were not necessarily worth $60, but were worth $13 to me. Sometimes I have names that i might be able to hand register, but don't have the time to grab them when they drop, so I set them up the night before and am willing to pay a $5 premium for the service.
Anyway, yesterday I loged in to see if i got any of the names and I didn't. So I decided to check and see who did. 3 of the 4 were grabbed, but the fourth came back with no Whois. So on a whim I through it up to hand register and sure enough, it was available. So Pheenix didn't event try to get the name. WTF? I understand if they aren't successful, but to not even try and order a domain that a customer has ordered? If they aren't even going to try, they should close down that part of their site and not keep wasting peoples time.
