Hey All,

With so many discussions about new gTLDs at NP, let's spare some attention to Registrars too!

Just wondered, which is your favorite registrar? I mean, for new G's only, put dotcom or others aside.

I prefer Namecheap, ResellerClub, Epik and DD24.

Uniregistry for premium priced ngtld domains. They have the lowest prices compared to other popular registrars and the best UI.
*Namesilo also seems to have good prices but I've never used them.

Godaddy for non-premium priced domains. With DDC about the same prices as Uniregistry but far larger end-user recognition which can make a sale easier, although I never had a problem convincing a buyer to open a uniregistry account so that I can push the domain.

I also have many domains at name.com but I'll be transferring them out to uniregistry and godaddy according to their renewals as mentioned above. Name.com has a good UI, it's fast and easy to manage your domains but due to higher prices (than uniregistry) and smaller end-user reach (than godaddy), the combination of godaddy and uniregistry is perfect for me. For people that absolutely want all domains in one registrar, name.com is a very good option.

I prefer Namecheap for many reasons for these. They have awesome support and lots of great specials for reg's, two big pluses in my book! ;)

Really depends what kind of domains you are registering! sometimes if you want a lot at once, godaddy is the best. Usually registrar that has good deals on gtld doesn't have the good deals on cctld, so you need to have a few.

Hand shake.

If registrar service is not bad, price can be a first concern, especially for bulk reg. I don't really care much about whois privacy.

Agree, that's the reason to sparse domain portfolio on different platforms.

Take me for example:
.top on Namecheap, Epik.com and Pananames.com
.win on ResellerClub
.bio and .xyz on DD24

I've noticed that registrars like 1&1 and Instra etc also begin to sell new G's at $1 cheap price. It was not their style.

Era for Cheap comes...

I wouldnt recommend 1&1 as a registrar. Not for cheap ngtlds or any tlds for that matter. Namecheap are good and they have sales every other time, same for Go Daddy. As we speak Namecheap has a host of ngtlds for 88c.

I'm another one for Namecheap, have a lot of domains there and I've never had an issue. I also use GoDaddy, namesilo, and moniker (they have a good bulk search).

I tend to check domcomp.com to compare costs. There seems to be a lot of variability in reg fees for the new gtlds.

GoDaddy have low prices with their Discount Domain Club. I save some money with that. I also like that you can add your domains instantly to their market places (Premium Listings and GoDaddy Auctions).

Dynadot, Namesilo, Uniregistry (lowest premium domain prices) and Namecheap are ok too.
