Is DN.com a good service?

So I sold a few names the other day and the buyer insisted to use DN.com. I've never used them as I always used the industry standard Escrow.com.

Anyway, after my transaction and after I had verified my identity submitting a scan pic of my license AND a pic of me holding my license they still have doubts about the authenticity of the transaction.

So they requested me to send them ALL receipts for domains that I purchased months before that were included in the transaction. That was a little weird but I obliged. Now they say they will process and issue my payment.

Should I be worried?

Hi Mike,

I know it might bring you some inconvenience to provide all the information required. But it is not always like that. It is the first time you use DN.com, and once you provide us with all the information required, next time when you come to DN.com, things will be easier. Please believe us that all we do is for security. That is why we take trouble to carry out the real-name verification system this October. It is a pity that some of our customers feel uncomfortable and leave us. But we insist that the domain security is the number one issue of transactions. Even some customers leave us because of this, we will still carry on.
When it comes to your transaction, we are glad to inform you that it is now verified and we will issue the funds to your bank account soon. If you have any questions, welcome to contact us. Thank you.

Best Regards,
Cynthia

Ok thanks for the message. I agree it's an inconvenience but as you say it's for importance of security so it's fine.

My only concern now is that you say you will issue the funds "soon". Soon can be 1 day, 2 days or 1 week+. Would just like some clarity on that since escrow.com normally releases funds once the closing statement is sent.

I've used them a couple times in the past month or so. After the funds are released, it's taken them about a week to process my withdrawal request and send the money.

That seems like a long time. Is that the norm for you? With escrow.com funds are sent the day of or right after the closing statement is sent. A week to process the withdrawal account seems way too long since you need to factor in another few days for the wire transfer to clear.

Other than the long wait, did you find the service ok?

Not having the greatest experience with both DN.com and 4.CN. Anyone else have problems with these guys?

I don't want to elaborate at this point as they still have about 14K of my money but it has not been a pleasant experience to say it nicely.

Just an update here. DN.com seems to be ok so far. I made a stupid mistake and did not enter in my bank account number correctly. But instead used my bank username login number. So now the funds are either in limbo or will be coming back to DN.com.

Waiting on the status and hopefully when it comes back they will resend it. Will update on that.

As for my other thread about 4.cn their sister company..now that was a fiasco. I don't want to be negative and say bad things..but just be very very careful when using their brokerage services. That's all I have to say.

We're also waiting on funds to be released for about a week. I find it a little odd.

It does seem to take dn.com a while to wire funds to a U.S. bank account. So long, that I sent them a message to just cancel the transfer because I have two more escrows that will infuse more funds into my account, such that I might as well just transfer the sum from all three at once. I assume I will get hit with both a wire fee, maybe an intermediary fee and an incoming wire fee.

From dn.com: "Please note that a withdrawal to US dollar account will cause an extra fee of $18. It may even cause an intermediary fee up to $25 depending on the beneficiary bank; withdrawal to CNY account is free of charge."

Hello Sir,

Thank you let us know your concerns. We received your withdrawal reques about16:00 at last Friday, we didn't wire trasnfer it to you at that time because our country's bank will not handle wire transfer after 15:00. Then weekend coming, so it was delayed two days. We are sorry for the convenience. But to be honest, it's a good choice to request withdrawal funds together, it will save bank fee. :) Thank you for your supporting to DN.com.

Best Regards

Follow up: for more recent withdrawals DN.com hasn't been too bad about the time they take to handle the wire transfers to my US bank account. Just a matter of a few business days more or less.
